Holly Gunning 09-02-2004, 06:01 PM Thanks!
montreal 09-02-2004, 10:04 PM I'm all for seeing more ECAC games, but New Hampshire twice in three weeks and Yale, BOO, where's Dartmouth, Brown or Cornell!
ttnorm 09-03-2004, 09:44 PM Um, New Hampshire is Hockey East.
And Yale v. Harvard is still Yale v. Harvard (in any sport at any time).
Agreed about Dartmouth though, they look like the class of the ECAC.
johnny cool 09-04-2004, 02:07 AM when are people on the national scene going to realize that UNH isn't going to be all that good this year?
TMHUNH 09-05-2004, 09:59 PM when are people on the national scene going to realize that UNH isn't going to be all that good this year?
:shakehead
Its not like I can even be excited about said telecasts until I figure out how to get this darn CSTV on my Telly. :dunno: Does Anyone know when this CSTV/Comcast deal takes effect? Or if you have to make a phone call or special ordering procedures? Any help would be appreciated.
I could give crap about the UNH games, I see those anyways. The at Michigan game will be nice, but UNH/BU at Manch??? Blah...those are always on the local station anyways.....There is BC/Maine and Minny/Wisconsin that night...although I imagine CSTV doesn't impose on any telecasts that local stations have already set up. I know WABI-TV in Maine has the ME/BC game that night, and aren't all Minny games on Fox Sports out there??? Oh well...I really need CSTV, and have to figure out how to get it from this supposed Comcast merge.
HF_Rangers 09-06-2004, 10:06 AM Cablevision barely adds watchable channels... meaning I won't get CSTV until 2009, when they don't show college hockey anymore.

The CSTV/Comcast deal allows each local Comcast station to offer CSTV, probably on its digital tier, if there is sufficient demand. So call or e-mail Comcast to request the service and encourage friends to do so, too.
CSTV is a national service and looks for the best conference matchups as well as strong inter-conference games. That's why BU-UNH is on the schedule. Yes, you can get it locally. But now fans from all of the country can see it, too (mostly those with DirecTV).

It is also available on Dish Network.
TMHUNH: An alternative to contacting Comcast, is to contact CSTV directly. I've Emailed them several times in the past regarding various broadcasting info and always got an aswer back within a day or two. If you go to their website (http://www.collegesports.com/cstv/), you can find an Email address to contact them at.

Too bad this will be pretty much the only hockey we'll get to watch here in MN, (tv wise). It's going to be a boring winter for sure.

Me too! :jump:
Terrier 09-27-2004, 04:10 PM With no NHL hockey on the horizon, college hockey on the dish will be a godsend. After Boston University home games, we often go to T's Pub on Commonwealth Avenue and catch a Minnesota game on Fox Sports North or a DU game on Fox Sports Rocky Mountain.
Spezza 09-29-2004, 07:18 AM Rather than start another thread, thought I'd say that in the UK, NASN is going to be covering College Hockey more this year. Same games as listed above albeit on tape delay.
More info at http://www.nasn.com

ttnorm 10-09-2004, 06:44 AM Nice to hear Doc Emrick doing the games on CSTV during the strike. He sounds very knowledgeable about the NCAAs. Anyone know if he has any background there?
Oilers Chick 10-12-2004, 10:37 PM For everyone's info.....
I just updated the link in the header for the TV schedule. This link is the COMPLETE TV schedule of all games that will be televised and/or available nationally. Please note that the schedule may be modified, due to the NHL's current work stoppage. If I find out anything, I'll be sure to pass it along ASAP.

Oilers Chick 03-02-2005, 03:13 PM Some games to keep an eye on this weekend:
Colorado College vs. Denver (No TV for the March 3rd game in Colorado Springs  ), but the Friday game at Magness will be on both FSN Rocky Mountain and CSTV. This is for the whole WCHA enchilada and the Gold Pan.
Maine at Boston College on NESN - The Hockey East race has become the most hotly contested conference race in the last couple of weeks. With four teams having a shot at finishing first, including these two teams, this is one not to be missed.
Wisconsin vs. St. Cloud State and Minnesota at Tech - both on FSN North this is a battle for third place over in the WCHA between the Badgers and Gophers.
Michigan State vs. Notre Dame on FSN Detroit - The Fighting Irish will finish dead last in the CCHA, but MSU is battling to for the 6th and final home ice spot in the CCHA conference playoffs opener next weekend. However, the Spartans are going to need ALOT of help, mainly losses to Miami and UAF.

I don't know what the deal is on the tv capabilities of World Arena. Hopefuly CC will get a local contract in the near future, we've got two regional sports nets and a dearth of programming on one of them.
Oilers Chick 03-08-2005, 05:04 PM You can find the updated TV Schedule for the playoffs HERE (http://www.insidecollegehockey.com/1Schedules/schedules_tv.htm).
Note: the ECACHL match on the docket (according the ECACHL website) is the one between Dartmouth and Vermont.

I fished out the TV schedule from USCHO and there's one game that INCH didn't have on its list: Minn. St-Minnesota Game #2, Saturday on FSN North.

IkeaMonkey* 03-10-2005, 02:11 PM Awwww man! I'm not going to get the UNH OR the UMass game :( :(
Oilers Chick 03-10-2005, 04:20 PM Thanks for the update, Terrier.
Dynamo: I take it, you don't get NESN in your neck of the woods? The UNH/NU game is on in a couple of hours on NESN.
IkeaMonkey* 03-10-2005, 05:58 PM 7:00 PM SUBARU OF NEW ENGLAND'S ROUGHING IT (R)
"BEST OF"
Also not listed on the USCHO site either...
We'll see in 5 minutes.
Edit: Just as I said, not on.
Oilers Chick 03-11-2005, 01:32 PM Next weekend's College Hockey Breakaway (March 18-19). All FOX affiliates will be carrying at least one game, either in the CCHA or WCHA next weekend. For those in and around Toronto (and those who can get it on their satellite systems in Canada), Leafs TV will also be showing some games. Some games will be JIP (joined in progress) or LIP (Leave in Progress). Also, some games will be on tape delay.
Due to the extensiveness of the listing, I'm including this story (http://wcha.collegesports.com/sports/m-hockey/spec-rel/031005aab.html) that I found over on the WCHA website that includes a link to the viewable listing (in pdf format). Just click on the link that says "Clearance PDF".
NESN just played Ballroom Boxing all night...what the hell? Did I get blacked out or something? I live a town over from Durham, did the game not sell out?
IkeaMonkey* 03-11-2005, 02:24 PM Never scheduled like I said. I was hoping NHPTV would bump its regular programming for it, but no dice.

I'm so excited for this, we WCHA fans rarely get to see CCHA games so I'm almost looking forward to those more than the Final Five
