Saskatoon Blades announced that they have acquired 20 year old defenceman Tyler Boldt and forward Jamison Orr from the Brandon Wheat Kings in exchange for a 5th Round Bantam Selection in the 2005 WHL Bantam Draft and the option of switching 1st Round CHL Import Selections with the Blades in 2005. Tyler was selected by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 8th round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Tyler comes to the Blades highly regarded as a top defensive defenceman. Jamison, an 18 year old left winger from Winnipeg, joins the Blades after spending last season split between the Lethbridge Hurricanes and Vancouver Giants. He is the younger brother of Colton Orr, who finished his WHL career with the Regina Pats

The Western Hockey League held their 20-year-old Cutdown Draft today.
-The Moose Jaw Warriors selected 20-year-old defenceman Dan Ehrman from the Tri-City Americans and 20-year-old goaltender Jordan McLaughlin from the Prince George Cougars.
-The Medicine Hat Tigers selected 20-year-old forward Paul Gentile from the Calgary Hitmen

The Vancouver Giants announced they have traded 20-year-old defenceman Andy Thompson to the Tri-City Americans in exchange for future considerations.
Thompson decided to leave the Giants earlier this season and contemplate his hockey future. Into his final season in the WHL, the 62, 200-pound d-man from Delta, B.C. will now be joining his fourth team.

Two Medicine Hat Tiger players have left the team. Justin Schmidt and Juraj Prokop both left for different reasons. Justin went to, I believe Humbodlt or Weyburn (not exactly sure) to play Tier II hockey - he just is not ready for the WHL yet. While Prokop went back home to Europe because of "family issues". The rumor, and this is ONLY a rumor that is making its way around Medicine Hat, is that his father was abusing his mother and was thrown in jail. The kid had been trying to get his mom over to Canada but to no avail so he went home.

The acquistions of Paul Gentile and Liam Coutre helped to round out the roster so far.
