All jokes aside, I know it's early on in the Season but the Sabres need to Win this Game and in Regulation. The Leafs are playing some good Puck right now but I feel a big Game from the Boys in Blue and Gold tonight.

And the sheer force of the hit vibrates the FNC and all the Sabres on the ice at the time go down with lower body injuries.

Let's go easy on the whole wishing injury on players thing. I know you guys haven't done that yet, but I wanted to preempt it.

Screw the whole BS grudge rematch angle, just get the points. The Sabres have more important things to worry about. Finish your checks on Timmeh if you think it'll make for crowd-pleasers and help generate some more energy.

(And know that Connolly will score.)

I also can't even explain how giddy I am to watch this game with RJ AND high-def. Thank you, FiOS...

I hold no grudge against timmy. I'm just calling it as likely because Timmy is due for his yearly giant hit/injury and has a history of it happening in this building. Add to that the fact that Regehr generally plays against whatever line has the scoring touch at the time, which leaves Timmy on the ice with Regehr. That leads to a tunnel of death on timmy in a building where he has history of getting hurt. A lot. Not to mention McNabb and Weber should be playing and their hits can't be discounted either. I just think putting any grudges fans may hold aside, buffalo's defense is a nasty match up for anybody that is as fragile as TC right now, not to mention BZK who isn't a slouch either. Honestly I wish TC the best in his carreer. I liked him as a sabre though I knew his time here had passed last year. I just don't wish him points while playing us.

Anyways, does anybody have a clue about our lines? My hope for line up:

Vanek - Adam - Pomminville
Ennis - Roy - Kassian (I think he's earned the bump)
Ellis - Sczehara (sp?) - Stafford (again deserves the bump)
McCormick - Gaustad - Kaletta/MAG unless I'm missing a forward somwhere

Sekera - Regehr
Ehrhoff - McNabb (I think he's earned it too)
Weber - Leopold

Nice balanced defensive lineup. 3 Defensive Dmen with 3 puck movers. Give Kassian the bump to line two with Roy and Ennis and see if maybe he can give that line a spark and some nice physical play. Adam no longer needs to be with Leino since he is hurt. Hopefully we can recreate the offense that line had early on. Stafford needs a kick in the pants maybe the 3rd line demotion will force him to put in more effort. If he needs to work for his spot in the top 6 we might see the stafford from last year. McNabb has been good for us. Give him a test by putting him with ehrhoff. If he does well, having a solid defensive player may allow Ehrhoff to start up his offensive game again instead of covering for Grags' mistakes. If McNabb can't handle the minutes then give leopold his spot and put him with Weber for the rest of the game, because McNabb and Weber would be fairly scary together from a physical standpoint also solid defensively. As for our forwards, let's just hope gaustad and Kaletta can go tonight....

There’s always a buzz at the First Niagara Center (or whatever they’re calling the Sabres’ barn this week) when the Leafs are the guests on a Friday night. Factor in the return of Connolly and dare we say it, the atmosphere figures to be almost playoff-like this time around. To add some punch to the first of six meetings between the two, the Sabres find themselves two points behind the Leafs in the Northeastern Division standings and it is no stretch to suggest the season series between the two could have serious playoff implications.

“If you look at the standings right now, I’d anticipate Buffalo being a team that we’re going to be neck-and-neck with all year,” Leafs forward Joffrey Lupul said following Thursday’s practice at the Air Canada Centre. “And we’ve got to play them six times. It’s a fun place to play with the building basically half and half between (Leafs fans and Sabres fans), a great atmosphere.”

“The big hurdle is getting by (Ryan Miller) in goal. We found a way to beat him last year, but we could say the same thing about the Bruins last year.”

Things have changed since then...see: Tootoo, Jordan getting gangbanged by Miller/Gaustad/Tropp (I think Tropp was the other guy there). Or Ehrhoff (yes, that Christian Ehrhoff--no, I'm serious, this is not a typo--no really, believe me, it was indeed a Sabre wearing #10, and we know it could never be Tallinder) tossing them with Greening at the end of the 3rd period last game against Ottawa when he bumped into Miller.

As for Myers, he's set to be "re-evaluated" on Monday or Tuesday last I heard, and was about 1-3 weeks away. He says it's been progressing well, so it's possible by next week he'll be suiting up.

Ray Ray is the man! His opening intro coming onto the field has more effort then most Sabres give for an entire game. Dude is nasty!

With Lenio absent and MAGs riding luxury box, the Sabres show some scoring punch and beat the Leafs by 2 goals. Ruff then inserts MAGs back into lineup next game vs Pens and Sabres get blown out. Ruff's post game is filled with questions on why they reverted back to a slow start......MAGs...just say no....to his ice time.

His tweet was a picture of a parking lot next to his hotel, and he insinuated that the sights of Buffalo are bad enough to want a windowless hotel room. Basically a dig against the city.

Someone is classless because they don't like the view outside of their hotel room? Maybe it speaks more about your own opinions of the city when one picture from one vantage point leaps you to the conclusion that it was a dig against the city rather than a dig at the immediate surroundings in view (aka that world class parking lot that apparently he's so classless for not appreciating), lol.
