I believe he'll be back, haven't heard otherwise. No he won't be a pick, he's too old. He'll be 21 this year, so he can't be drafted, but I would expect some team to give him a look at camp if he has a good year.

Gauthier is a junior this year and my guess is that he will stay the full four years at DU. He's no longer eligible for the draft so I'd expect he'll earn himself a free agent contact. I thought a team might use a late round pick on him this past June, but it could turn into a win-win situation for him as he can pick from a number of teams.

For Gauthier to make it to the NHL, he must improve his foot speed.

It's not that's he's slow (he isn't), but at his size, he must be still faster to compensate.

His individual skills are excellent and his attitude is good, but he must get faster!
