I live in Staten Island, NY but im a huge phantoms fan so since I have no Devils games to head to im heading up to Hartford today to see the Phantoms opener and then im going to stay overnight somewhere and then head down to Bridgeport to see the Phantoms play again. Ill give reviews of both games and ill have plenty of pictures when I get back tomorrow night.

Just a quick warning on Hartford, there are signs that say that no cameras are allowed at the Hartford Civic Center. That being said, if you are going to bring your camera in, you are going to have to sneak it under your shirt. Security will search your bags.
Also, although I have not been to Bridgeport since it's inaugural year, there is also a sign there that says no cameras. However, I didn't have any problem getting mine in, even without sneaking it.
(BTW, for arena reviews and camera policies, feel free to check out my website, www.pelts35.com and then click on the "arena trip planner" page.)
Just out of curiosity, living in Staten Island, how did you become a Phantoms fan instead of a Wolfpack or Sound Tigers fan?

I didnt have a problem bringing a camera into either arena, and I wasnt hiding it either. This was my first trip to Hartford and I have been to Bridgeport more times than I can count. To answer your question I have New Jersey Devils season tickets but Albany is to far to go to, so I have always been a Phantoms fan because it takes me 1 hour and 15mins to get there and tickets are 8 bucks with a student ID no matter where you want to sit. So the main reason im a Phantoms fan is because its the closest and cheapest, I also go to a ton of Trenton Titans games as well. When I get some time tomorrow I will put links up for some pictures.

Oh by the way the Phantoms played a terrible game in Hartford and an ok game in Bridgeport, overall I am very disappointed in their play so far

I'm glad you didn't have any problem getting your camera into Hartford. When I went, one fan had their camera out and security sent them back to the car. I guess it all depends on which security person checks you out.
