I know this isn't the right board but, there's no where else to put it. Anyways, last night's North American Hockey League (Quebec semi-pro) game between the Verdun Dragons and the Laval Chiefs at the Bell Centrewas one for the ages. There were five fights in the first seven seconds (an obvious marketing ploy), around four more fights throughout the game, a goalie, on player fight, a Dragons player scaling the glass behind the bench to take on a fan, a trainer subsequently using a stick to hit a fan behind the bench and a brawl in the stands between a couple of guys slugging each other over rows of seats. Truely Old Time hockey Slap Shot style. But there was also a surplus of offence, with the final score being 9-5 Dragons. Dan Marois and James Desmarais looked NHL caliber and put on a highlight real with 2 goals for Marois and a goal and 5 assists for Desmarais. If your in the area check it out, 'cause for awhile last night I couldn't name an NHL player, for the thrill of these blue collar heros.
