Rich Peverley Playoff Performer

Last year, Rich Peverley was such a crucial part in the Bruins success in the post-season. He really stepped it up for the Boston, and had shown that while he hasn't had much experience in the post-season, he's old and talented enough to play like a calm veteran.

There was even a facebook page made for him after he won the Cup: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Rich-Peverley-is-Canon/208138872560635

Do you guys think he is gonna continue his domination this year?

Guy was a beast in the finals last year. One of the Bruins most consistent forward in that series.

He'll be getting big minutes on the first line so hopefully he does good with Looch and Krejci.

He's just coming back after missing some time. Do you think that might effect him? I love the guy. He can for sure be big for the B's.

It will a bit, I've been watching him closely, his puck handling and skating is there, he just needs his timing back

He came back at a perfect time

How exactly did he get his name Raptor Jesus?

It was back when he came up in Atlanta after being picked up waivers from Nashville. He was paired with Ilya and had a PPG for about 30 or something games. He turned into a HF Board star for a while and a Atlanta fan user on HF found this pic of Raptor Jesus and made it about Peverley being as epic as this. Correct me if I missed a detail whatever person remembers it clearer

Thats the picture.

He's still my fav. NHL player and I'll root for them with the Jets out =)

He's been back a couple weeks, a good amount of time for him to get back into it. Wouldn't be at all surprising to see him really get going again during the Washington series, and be the same kind of difference maker he was last post season.

So underrated, half of you don't even recognize who he is despite being a no1 dman for 2 seasons+ now.

I'll give you a hint, he can be found saving the butt of the guy in the background nowadays.

IIRC, it was good ol' atlantasportsfan (aka john cena*), also the creator of Richards is cannon. Raptor jesus and a mention of Tobycorn in the same thread, god I miss the ATL boards...

Boston's depth last year was insane. I mean:

Lucic-Krejci-Horton
Marchand-Bergeron-Recchi
Ryder-Peverley-Seguin
Paille-Campbell-Kelly

That's 3 forward lines fully capable of scoring. Horton goes down? No problem, move Pevs to first line and keep rolling on.

awww ASF <3 I miss him sometimes on the Jets board. You just need someone to make you laugh with their opinions about who is a scrub and needs to be traded for a bag of pucks. Staplescrub :D

Long live Raptor Jesus!

He's a warrior and he's just rounding into form since coming back from injury. Going to be one of our key guys.
