Injured...he separated/dislocated the same shoulder he hurt last year and is out for a few more months still...otherwise he'd be playing in Hamilton.

Hey I like hearing these power rankings!! I think Niinimaki is gonna make a jump in the ranking pretty quick once he gets some more icetime.

Niittymaki is awsome!

Hopefully he is the finally the guy who will put all goaltending issues to rest. He knows how to win games.

Nice work. I think we're all interested in the new wave of elite Finnish players to North America, so it's definitely something I'm interested at looking over. Not to mention that everyone has to be fascinated with the Finnish netminders here in NA and the ones still in Finland. In a couple years Finnish goalies are going to rule this league.

Thanks flyers guy.
Finnish goaltenders will tear up the NHL, but I think it'll be about 4 years untill they do.

I agree that Niittymaki is an excellent goalie, and will be one in the NHL as well, but I'd have to say that Robert Esche put the goaltending issues to rest last spring.

I think that's a reasonable expectation.

I like it, keep posting your rankings in the AHL forum. :) Hopefully Niinimaki starts to climb up the list once he gets a bit more ice time and starts to notch a few points...
