I realize we're only 12 games through the season, but....if the season ended today, who do you think should be named Defensive Player of the Year?
Who is the NFL Defensive MVP this season?ObeySteve 12-07-2004, 02:52 PM I realize we're only 12 games through the season, but....if the season ended today, who do you think should be named Defensive Player of the Year? tripledekehockey 12-07-2004, 03:00 PM farrior over ray lewis, but just barely Dr Love 12-07-2004, 03:03 PM farrior over ray lewis, but just barely By Ray Lewis you mean Ed Reed right? He's been the MVP of the Ravens. Lewis is still a pretty damn good player, but Reed has been far better this year. I give Reed the nod over Peppers. ObeySteve 12-07-2004, 03:06 PM I tried to come up with a list of guys that actually have at least a small chance of winning and deserve to be in the poll....I just hope I didn't leave any major players out. Ticallion961 12-07-2004, 03:14 PM I'll take Dick Lebeau as the defensive mvp...if it has to be a player, than Farrior will have to do...mainly in Lebeau's honor Dr Love 12-07-2004, 03:19 PM I tried to come up with a list of guys that actually have at least a small chance of winning and deserve to be in the poll....I just hope I didn't leave any major players out. Jamie Sharper will get some votes, but it's no gip that you didn't include him. Ditto Jevon Kearse. in the hall 12-07-2004, 03:24 PM By Ray Lewis you mean Ed Reed right? Reed has been phenominal and big in key situations. Dr Love 12-07-2004, 03:26 PM I agree with every word in this post. Reed has been phenominal and big in key situations. Funny thing about Ray Lewis is that while he's declined this year, there isn't a middle linebacker that has been clearly better. IkeaMonkey* 12-07-2004, 03:34 PM By Ray Lewis you mean Ed Reed right? Fire Sather 12-07-2004, 03:40 PM Abraham deserves to be on this list. Dr Love 12-07-2004, 03:45 PM Abraham deserves to be on this list. Agreed. If Steve agrees, and I can figure out how to do it, I'll add him to the poll. ObeySteve 12-07-2004, 03:51 PM Fine by me. I forgot we can have 15 options in a poll anyway, so you can just add Sharper and Kearse too if you want. Tuggy 12-07-2004, 04:23 PM Ed Reed.
