Kobasew with the 'C'

I saw in The Hockey News that Chuck Kobasew was wearing the 'C' for Lowell. I'm not sure if this was just for a game or two, but can anybody clarify this. He's not a guy i would have pegged to be a captain.

Or was I just seeing things?

He has been wearing the C, and by all accounts leading quite well (although maybe a bit too hotheaded, getting tossed a few times)

but it sounds like he is having a strong season in several capacities in Lowell

Yep, actually Chucko was sharing the "C" with a Carolina captain named Brad Fast but Fast has been ib the dog house as of late being a healthy scratch more games than playing. Chuck has been doing a good job scoring but I don't neccesarily think the best player on your team should be captain.
