Seattle: 27-21 over St.Louis..........St.Louis has owned them this season, but they're due for a big win in the playoffs. Hopefully Hasselbeck won't be an idiot this time around.
New York: 17-14 over San Diego..........San Diego's been hot this season, but I just don't see them advancing in the playoffs, and instead see New York going to the next round.
Indianapolis: 35-10 over Denver..........Indy's defense did well against them this game, and a second-string offense scored two TDs. That score's gonna be reversed this time around.
Green Bay: 35-31 over Minnesota..........Neither team has good d, but the Packers will still win this one and go on to the next round.

*St. Louis @ Seattle- Um, St Louis looked great against the Jets and Seattle was a joke against us, so St. Louis wins. 35-24 STL.

*NY Jets @ San Diego- We beat em Week 2, and the talk about them getting good magically after we played them is BS. We beat them then, and it'll happen again. Hopefully. 28-17 NYJ.

Denver @ Indianapolis*- Manning is playing this time, no contest. 42-24 IND.

Minnesota @ Green Bay*- Minny is down and they wont wake up for this one. 42-7 GB.

Yeah because its impossible for teams to improve or get worse over a season.

I guess Buffalo was better than New England last year as well, because they beat them 30-3 in the season opener.

I could understand you picking SD, but can you give the Jets just a little credit?

Credit for what? They haven't done anything yet and have done nothing to impress me. They have beaten some bad teams, good for them(is that good enough for ya :D )

Jared Ramsden
01-03-2005, 01:33 PM
Sat. Jan. 8 - St. Louis @ Seattle - Toughest one to call. Both teams are inconsistent as hell. Rams seem to have a little more momentum at this point. Rams by a field goal. Seattle is tough at home, but they are too beat up mentally and their defence doesn't really strike fear into anybody.

Sat. Jan. 8 - NY Jets @ San Diego - Jets beat SD back in week two, but this a different, more confident Charger team they will be facing. I say SD by 10. Weakness of the Chargers D is their secondary, but they have been playing better of late. Jets don't have the most effective vertical game. Chargers stop the run better than anybody, but the Jets D is pretty strong too. In the end, the Chargers have more weapons on offense, which I think will be the difference.

Sun. Jan. 9 - Denver @ Indianapolis - Indy shouldn't have much difficulty with Denver, much like last year. Manning and Co. are just too much to handle for a surprisingly average Denver defence. Colts win by 17, maybe more. Freeney will keep Plummer in check.

Sun. Jan. 9 - Minnesota @ Green Bay - The Packers should win this one, probably by 10 points. Both teams are vulnerable on the defensive side of things, but the Packers are more playoff tested than Minnesota, and are more mentally equipped to handle the playoff pressure. And Farve always seems to come up big when it counts.

...if nothing else, these two teams are evenly matched. I'm leaning toward the Rams, given the fact that they had to fight to grab this playoff spot. However I have a feeling that Shaun Alexander is going to have a big game. Seattle could be one of the best teams in the NFC if they feel like showing up; I'd bet against that ever happening, but I'll bet on them this week...
Seattle-24 St. Louis-20

Sat. Jan. 8 - NY Jets @ San Diego - 8pm et
...Jets have to go on a road trip cross coast. San Diego has enough offense, and a good enough defense to win this game.
San Diego-23 NY Jets-13

Sun. Jan. 9 - Denver @ Indianapolis - 1pm et
...you have a feeling Indy pulled everyone just to let the Broncos have their kicks in Sunday's finale. It's gonna take a lot to hold down Peyton, plus I still question Denver's offense.
Indy-34 Denver-17

Sun. Jan. 9 - Minnesota @ Green Bay - 4:30pm et
...this won't be as close or exciting as the other two meetings. The Vikes' confidence took a big hit when the Pakcers beat them on Christmas Eve, and it showed last Sunday vs. the Skins. The Packers are going into the NFC playoffs on a roll, and I wouldn't leave them out of the question to win the NFC. Oh yeah there's a game on Sunday...

St. Louis @ Seattle..Third times a charm for the Seahawks. I think their defense will contain the Rams and Alexander will have a big day.
NY Jets @ San Diego...The Jets offense has been sputtering lately and I think that will be their demise in this game.

Denver @ Indianapolis...I dont think Jake the Snake can keep up with Manning while playing mistake free football.
Minnesota @ Green Bay....Green Bay has owned the Vikes and I dont think the Vikings will be able to win outside the dome.
