Another hint at Blue and Gold this year?

I'm not sure it's tradition, because:
1. Satan is the prototypical traditional Sabre. Perreault, Hasek or Lafontaine were.
2. No other headers on the website have images - merely text. This suggests that the image in this thread is more recent.

There will be no blue & gold this year. It takes too long for a uni change to happen due to marketing stuff that the NHL has to do. I think it's safe to assume that Golisano & Quinn are looking at. I remember someone posting somewhere (rumor, I think) that the Sabres had asked some designers to submit entries for consideration.

If I were to bet money, I'd bet that we'll see something new at the end of this season for whenever hockey is next played at the NHL level.

I think the "Red Hot Friday Nights" points to the current unis lasting the year.

And I agree that I would expect a change being announced at the end of the season that they will switch back to the blue and gold color scheme for whatever NHL season follows the 03-04 campaign.

I think they should switch to the Bills color scheme similar to how the Pirates, Penguins and Steelers.

Only if they get the Bandits and Bisons to switch as well and the Bills agree to get rid of that aweful silver accent color and the two shades of blue.

And if they decide to really go retro and bring back the bottlecap unis.

I couldn't agree more.

And i don't think the same old jerseys will return, same colors, but new jerseys. Just like the Pens did. But this season they will definetly use the new jerseys, maybe 2-4 times they will use the blue and gold and that's it.

The announcers on CJAD just said that the Sabres will be wearing 4 Jerseys this year. Brining back the blue and gold for select games.

CJAD is a Montreal radio station. As far as more info on the jerseys it's ther regular home, away, alternate (red) jerseys then the old gold,, blue and white.

CJAD is the Montreal radio station broadcasting the game. Listening to it on-line cause I couldn't get NSA to work. Before the game started they were talking about the red 3rd jersey, and then said that this year the Sabres would be wearing four including the blue and gold. haven't seen any info to confirm this any where else.
