A good site for Danish hockey info and up to date stats on Danish hockey. Peter is #2 in league scoring currently.

Last season I think he had:

Peter Regin GP:38, G:11, A:11, P:22, Shots:NA, PIM:18, +NA

Thank you for the link.
Regin 2nd as an 18 year, that is impressive.

He's currently one point ahead of Robert Burakovsky, who played 23 games for us in 1993-94 and for some reason couldn't translate his AHL scoring success to the NHL (ah well, I don't ever remember watching him play).

Of note concerning Peter Regin is that he is potentially coming to Canada next year. I was inquiring about Regin after his Div.1 performance at the WJC, and apparently he's going to be leaving Denmark next year for either the OHL or the Finnish Elite League. I believe St. Mike's has already drafted his rights so hopefully he'll take that route so we can see more of him first-hand.

It would be the right move for his career, I think his stats this season prove that he is already too good for the Dansih SuperBest League. And you are right about Melnyk's team owning his CHL rights and it's be cool to see how he does in the OHL.

I don't remember a previous year when so many Sens prospects have been doing so well, keep it coming.

Peter Regin - 2nd in scoring in the Danish league.
Alexi Kaygorodov - 1st in scoring in the Russian Elite league.
Roman Wick - 17th in scoring in the WHL, leads all rookies in scoring.
Andrej Meszaros - is having a strong season in the WHL, 6th in Rookie scoring.
Jeff Glass - 2nd best goalie record in the WHL.
Brandon Bochenski - leads all rookies in scoring in the AHL.
Patrick Eaves - 30 points in 21 games in the NCAA men's 1st Division.

And we haven't even mentioned Vermette, Emery, Mirnov etc....

Speaking of Mirnov, I was watching Kazan vs Dynamo on RDS today. It was my first chance to see Mirnov (outside of downloaded highlights). He is bigger then I thought. He seems to be well built. In the game (1-1 tie) he was +1. He looked really good. Created some scoring chances with his speed, had some shots on net. He isn't physical but he doesn't appear to be afraid to be hit (like some have said of Kaigorodov). He was playing on one of Dynamo's top 3 lines playing as a RW despite shooting left. I think down the road he will have to switch to LW if he remains in the organization. I really hope that he comes over next season to play in the AHL. People say why would someone playing in the russian superleague want to come to NA and play on the farm but guys have done it before. Kostitsyn came over to play in Hamilton this year for example.

BTW, Roman Wick had another two point night yesterday (1g 1a).

Sen's fans will get another chance to watch Peter Regin play in this years World Championships I think. I could be wrong but given the fact he's probably one of the best players in Danish league he'll most likely be given a spot on the men's team. (along with Jannik Hansen, VAN choice 2004, 8th in league scoring)

(I'm actually from Vancouver and a Canuck's fan, but can't wait to see both teams back in action A.S.A.P. Sens are my 2nd favourite team)
