Okay, I was curious as to what everyone was thinking in terms of Comrie? I think he would be a great fit on this team. Is relatively young, puts up good numbers and I do not think that he would break the bank. Does anyone else thing that he would be a good fit for the Isles or no? i think we have the mid level young cheap talent that might be required to egt him...but just my thoguht...anyone have opinions?

I think Kevin Lowe would let Comrie stay home the entire season and as long as a potential lockout lasts, as opposed to trading him at that age and rewarding him for staying home. This is different than Anson Carter or Janne Niinimaa.
As much as I would like Comrie on the Isles, he is a center and really does not have a fit here at that position unless Scatchard is traded and Peca becomes a checking. (third-line center)
And who does Mike Milbury have to include with Scatchard?
Better question may be are there one or two players Kevin Lowe has not acquired from the Isles that he is still interested in?

I posted not too long ago that I was speaking to one of their scouts
and he indicated that Comrie is a "very Selfish" player. I don't think
any team needs that kind of player in your locker room.
They were very disappointed Atl backed out of the deal straight up for
the #8 pick

agreed...he was a real fight to sign before going back into the draft...also, the isles do not need anymore 'selfish' players or displaced holdouts - we got a bunch already...

I'm leery of trading for Comrie who grew up in Edmonton and should be happy playing for his hometown team, in front of family and friends.Instead he's in his 2nd contract hassle with the Oilers.
