Expectations for Darren Haydar may not be as great as those of, say, Scottie Upshall or Jordin Tootoo, but Haydar made quite a statement last night that he's another rookie worth watching this preseason for the Predators.
Haydar scored a pair of goals as Nashville opened the exhibition season with a 5-0 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center. The two teams will play again tonight at the Gaylord Entertainment Center.
Jan Lasak and Brian Finley combined to make 26 saves for the shutout.
