Dixon and Talbot back in the mix in the Q

Played their first games last night. Dixon had 2 assists in a 3-2 victory, not a bad start. Talbot had a goal and two assists in Gatineau's 5-0 win. His linemate is leading the league in scoring, so i wouldn't be surprised to see Talbot up there in no time. Talbot and Dixon should both put up 100+ point seasons. Although there is a lot of depth in Cape Breton, so Dixon may have a little trouble getting to the century mark.

Sounds like they have started out on the right foot. I've had a feeling ever since we drafted Dixon that he would have a breakthrough deason this year like Talbot did last year.

I expect both to be 100+ point scorers.

Dixon was, besides Fleury obviously, CB's best player last season, a year of experience and a better team should help him.

Talbot is a guy who could lead the Q in points...not likely with Locke but still a chance.

I assume you mean Crosby, because Locke is in the OHL obviously. Talbot could very well lead the Q in points. He and JM Daoust are both very talented, creative players. Daoust is way too small to ever play in the NHL, but Talbot plays physical enough and is built too. Hull has a great team, and I see no reason why they won't be as good as any team. Cape Breton and Hull are arguably the two tops teams. I could also see Dixon leading the Screaming Eagles in scoring. Considering the roster they have, that's saying something. The guy was a flat out steal.

Dixon is Cape Breton's #1 center, Francois-Pierre Guenette and Jean-Francois Cyr are his wingers. Combined the 3 should put up 100 points each if healthy.

Ryan Stone also started off well with 1g 2 a, in his first game.
Lukas Bolf has 1a in 2 games.

Talbot got 4 more points tonight, against Crosby's Oceanic. Talbot is definately gonna dominate the league this year.

Talbot had 3 assists in his game tonight, Dixon had two goals. I'm not sure what thier point totals are now... maybe someone else can post it.

According to the QMJHL website, Dixon had zero points and Talbot's team didn't play tonight. :dunno:
