He was very impressive in yesterdays game against the Wild.

Shorty & Larsh mentioned something about Crawford having to take another look at this kid b/c of his excellent performance.

Did anyone get a chance to listen to the post-game show by chance? Just curious to know if he was discussed at all and what was said.

Who is this guy, what's his story etc.?

5th round draft choice in 2002. Played for Brandon of the WHL and just finished his overage year so he is done with juniors. Probably will start his pro career with Columbia of the ECHL, and be the 1st callup to the Moose if either Auld or Moss gets called up to the big club. Is definitely making himself more than an after thought in the organization with his play at camp.

Here is a link to his stats ....

Hedberg had some nice things to say about him as well ...

Before camp started we were skating a lot together and had a couple of open scrimmages, and he was fantastic. He is doing all the little things that I know all of the goalie coaches now a days talk about and all the young guys are practicing at and he is very good at doing that. He is a big guy. He plays big and he covers the lower part of the net good too, so I think we got a bright future there.

Could turn out to be a nice pick.

Yes, I like him a lot more than Violin. Small chance that McVicar pushes Moss out and takes the backup role. I would hate to see him have to go to the ECHL because, quite frankly, that league is the inevitable elephant graveyard for goalie prospects.

Could turn out to be a nice pick. Thanks for the info. I don't really follow the prospects too much although I do enjoy reading others' updates.

I wonder if he'll be scheduled to play some more X games since JH still has an injury. It seems Crawford definitely wants to see some more of him by the sounds of it. I'm curious myself.
