Baldwin Bashers are on the clock

Ok, since it's taking too long and I don't want our nice league to have problems already, let's start right now.

First of all, before we start, Bethel Park Phantoms & Pocono Black Death & Berlin Blades must DROP the players they have just picked up of waivers.
Then here are the 11 extra rounds.
I like Kolstov's idea of a 12 hour waiting period. So whoever is not ready or is not able to pick up someone, they could make the selection afterwords, but they will loose their priority.

This is the 11 extra rounds:
(I have only gotten feedback from teams that want only players from database. Since I also like Kolstov's idea of having an Entry Draft, we'll make one starting at the end of the season, and every year after that. Since there's no free-fantasy hockey league site better then Yahoo available, we have no choice but to go with these morons.)
Now before you guys start picking!
Should we be able to draft players that we think they can join the league this season? And then wait for one month till that player gets added on Yahoo and we'd give that player to the owner that drafted him? Or should we just go like this, "only database" players?

**If anyone has time to write the whole draft thus far, feel free to do it, I will uptade this page with it. I really need to go study right when I finish this.

THANKS TO KOLTSOV47 for the teams

Please check for any mistakes in the Draft order. I'm human, I make mistakes... :rolly:

So don't start drafting yet. Let's make the last few adjustments and decisions that I said earlier in this post and I'll announce when we'll start.

Only database for now.

If we want to do a little five round non-database but drafted (ie Lupaschuk, Fleury, Welch...etc, I don't feel like thinking of more players right now) a little later I am up for that. But I am strongly against mixing the two together.

I like Kolstov's idea of a 12 hour waiting period. So whoever is not ready or is not able to pick up someone, they could make the selection afterwords, but they will loose their priority.

If someone doesn't make their selection within the 12 hour time period, the next person in the draft order is then on the clock. The person who had their pick skipped can post their pick first chance they get. That's how we do it in the mock drafts.

Should we be able to draft players that we think they can join the league this season? And then wait for one month till that player gets added on Yahoo and we'd give that player to the owner that drafted him? Or should we just go like this, "only database" players?

I guess it's easiest to just be able to draft from players in the database right now. After the season we can set up a prospect draft and an entry draft to build up a farm system. Since this is a keeper league.

It's like the NFL draft then.

The past 2 years the Vikings missed their picks due to taking too much time and ended up slipping a couple spots.

One thing I don't get though...why were there only 19 rounds to begin with?

I just participated in a 22 round draft...

A mistake/misunderstanding on the part of the commissioners, from what I can tell.

Let's go . . . get the show on the road.

~ Only from Yahoo's list

~ You guys (hurry up) and dump the waiver players (you freaking opportunists) :rolly:

~ Twelve hours, but if they lose turn can jump in at any time to make their selection

I agree

I will move every player who was claimed back to waivers and then next time Edison Pumaman is online, he can start the draft

Ok so, for everyone.

BEFORE MAKING ANY PICK OFFICIAL!
Be sure your player is in the database, whether he's on waivers or free agents. Then you can sign that player on that site.

No players that WILL or MAYBE or IF they will be on.
It's our 1st year.

I'm no math major but this doesn't take someone working up mutliple regressions in the sky. We have had three picks in 19 hours . . . or about 1 pick every 6 + hours. With only 151 picks left . . . that's only 900+ hours and 900 divided by 24 means that we should be done drafting somewhere around freaking Halloween.
:teach:

When does the season actually begin.

Now, in all seriousness . . . there had better be some speed and attention given to this . . . like a concentrated evening effort for a day or two.

Nope. I think it's damn near impossible now that you've broken it down. Too many problems were encountered from the draft screw-up and IMO they dragged out too long before they were fixed....a whole week has passed between drafts.....oh well, guess we have to start off w/ incomplete rosters....at least our key players are drafted.

Superstar Shane

I think some merit could be given to the thought of drafting as many people as we can before the season starts, and then setting everyone loose in terms of signing FA's. Besides, we still have to figure out how we're going to deal with players who are added to Yahoo's database later in the season...

At 7:30 PM (Sunday Night) . . . we get the first pick of the 19th round and here it is almost 7:30 Tuesday morning and we have three freaking players selected.
Here a few suggestions to get this thing wrapped up sometime before the Stanley Cup playoffs begin! This is offered in lieu of setting another (20 thru 30) draft date to get the business at hand settled.
-----------------
(1) ASAP (closer to immediately) set up a six (6) hour maximum waiting time between selections. I know this shortens the period quite a bit but we were making decisions in 90 seconds during the first nineteen (19) roiunds . . . so it's not like this is going to cause anyone to get brain cramps.
-----------------
(2) I suggest that you enter your selection in the format:

ROUND 20
1. Edison Pumamen -- David Legwand
2. Laval Titans -- Martin Biron
3. North Hill Nailers -- Kevin Weekes
4. Van City Warriors -- skipped, can make pick at anytime.
5. Baldwin Bashers -- Joe Schmoe*
* then add:
On the clock: 7:30 AM Stockholm Ferrets:

6. Stockholm Ferrets
7. Bethel Park Phantoms
8. Jefferson Morons
9. Albany Venom
10. Butler Fiends
11. S/Side Smartfellers
12. Pocono Black Death
13. Berlin Blades
14. Burlington Nugs

------------------
(3) That would mean that a selection time of between 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM would be reserved by Stockholm Ferrets . . . and anyone who missed their selection. However, the GM of the teams directly behind Stockholm Ferrets would have to stay on alert that they "could be" coming up into draft position shortly, if everyone is prepared to select it shouldn't be that much of a problem.
This obiviously isn't perfect and may cause some to miss there turn but they should be able to get caught up as quickly as they get back online.
------------------
(4) When getting to the selection process I also suggest that only one player be selected at a time . . . in other words if you have two picks coming to you . . . enter them in separate postings so there is no dispute of who may have selected a certain player first.
------------------
(5) We joked around about the importance of getting this done . . . and apparently it hasn't been picked up how screwed up this will be unless some solid correctional direction is taken . . . and soon.
------------------
AK, this is where the leader pulls up his freaking socks gets "more" involved. Not less involved. As Mel Brooks said, "It's great to be the King." What he didn't say is, "Somethime's it's sucks to be the King!"
In the proper perspective, of course, this is a crisis . . . because it's a known rule that in a crisis that forces a choice to be made among alternative courses of action, most people will choose the worst one possible (it's some derivative of Murphy's law) . . . this one requires a little review before going ahead. But not making ANY decision in a snafu situation is what turns a snafu a FUBAR and we don't want that to happen, do we.

Alex Kovalev
09-23-2003, 05:40 AM
Nice job Kutdacheez, your right that we have to get this done. I like your draft style, but already people are showing that they are missing important new on the league. Everyone has to try to sign on at least one time a day to check. The 6 hour thing is not going to make it much faster when 3 or 4 guys do not show up.

I think we need to start the 20th round over and do 1 of 2 things.

1) Find a chat room where we can all go a have our draft and set a date and time for when we select, each team has a minute to pick.

or

2) We reset the teams back to the post draft rosters and set a date and time where we can all sign our players at the same time. A first come first serve basis.

The other option posted by Kutdacheez may take longer then you think.

GoPenguins
09-23-2003, 07:03 AM
One option that might allow us to resolve the final picks would be for everyone to submit a pick of picks (in the same way Yahoo allows us to) and one person go through the team picks drafting from their list of ranked players.

This would be a lot simpler if there was some way of saving or sending the personalized rankings from Yahoo's fantasy hockey site.

I just dont think we will be able to get the draft finished if we continue to pick one player per 12 hr time period. Am not sure if picking two or three players per time period will help either.

Oh..and for the question as to what to do with the players that Yahoo adds during the season - I say we operate using the NFL waiver wire system in that the team with the worst record (tiebreaker is points scored) gets first choice for the waiver bids.

It's also quite a burden on whoever has to go through everyone's lists and actually perform the draft, but I like this suggestion most of all so far.

Super-short time limits for a board-based draft could turn ugly. Plans for the weekend? You could theoretically miss all 11 rounds. Computer breakdown? ISP maintainance? Sleep? Live in the wrong timezone? Sorry, you lose.

I disagree with you. It's already been stated before the draft to check in and find out what's going on. It was mention during the draft and after the draft. So if some "GM" isn't checking in, for whatever reason . . . that should be considered "tough-tittie", that's all.
At 1:30 PM today, if the Baldwin Basher doesn't make his selection then the Stockholm Ferret is on the clock until 7:30 PM (Six hours) . . . if he makes his pick at 2:00 PM then the next one is on the clock until 8:00 PM, etc. When you get down to those in the groove of this right now the picks will go fast . . . when these guys sign on or pay attention they will make their multi-selections. It will catch up unless there is one "smart-feller" out there that purposely tries to screw this up. And, if they do don't you have three people in the wings waiting on a team? Sure you do. Vote any loser (well, non-conformist) out and insert the replacement GM.
I'd change the hours from 12 to 6 right away . . . everyone is to be checking per the instructions so it will be no harm, no foul the best I can determine.

ROUND 20

2. Laval Titans -- Martin Biron

8. Jefferson Morons
9. Albany Venom
10. Butler Fiends
11. S/Side Smartfellers

14. Burlington Nugs

It would be gentlemanly after making your selection to send a PM or e-mail to the next one up, also . . . but not really that necessary if they are in this loop.

I think we need to start the 20th round over and do 1 of 2 things. Why, these guys are following the rules, why change anything but the 12 hour wait?

Find a chat room where we can all go a have our draft and set a date and time for when we select, each team has a minute to pick.
I think it may be too late for that . . . really. And, may not be neccessary.

We reset the teams back to the post draft rosters and set a date and time where we can all sign our players at the same time. A first come first serve basis.
My personal opinion . . . that is the worst of the options. This is to be a "brain" GM contest not who has the best typing skills. In the Oklahoma Land rush the best land went to those with the fastest horses.

Anyhow, IMHO, it's not time to put it to a vote . . . or throw out ideas. Just do it. I think a Six hour limit will get everything moving in the next 24 hours. I could be wrong but I think it's the best alternative right now. If the six hour was intstuted we'd be looking for three spots down the draft position IF EVERYONE TOOK THE FULL SIX HOURS, which we won't. It's not like they can't catch up by just signing on.

And KungFu . . . Plans for the weekend? You could theoretically miss all 11 rounds. Computer breakdown? ISP maintainance? Sleep? Live in the wrong timezone? Sorry, you lose.
You'd lose anyhow, no matter what if any of those things happened, right? I don't think six hours on the clock for the scrubs we are picking now is any great shakes.

There is absolutely no way we will finish this draft (another 150 players or so) if we do it entirely on the boards, regardless of what the time limit is. Personally, I'd like to do a combination of sending in list and doing it live in a chat room. Basically, we'd finish it just like we started it, by showing up at the live draft or sending in a list if we couldn't make it.

KungFuPenguin
09-23-2003, 12:48 PM
And KungFu . . .
You'd lose anyhow, no matter what if any of those things happened, right? I don't think six hours on the clock for the scrubs we are picking now is any great shakes.

Not if you do the prepare-a-list thing. You could theoretically wait until the day before opening night to do the draft, letting Yahoo add players. As it is now, you have a problem in that players, good players, may get added as the draft progresses, shafting early drafters; or alternatively, creating a huge mess with everyone drafting non-database players. Who'll keep track of those? Isn't there just as much potential for corruption with such an arrangement as there is in a list-based draft?

IMHO, and at the risk of sounding a bit trite, the potential for purposeful mishandling of a list-based draft is a smaller problem than the problems associated with a narrow time window in a board-based draft. The lists could be posted in public to make sure, if that'll calm your nerves. Personally, I'm currently in the process of switching ISPs, and run a severe risk of ending up without internet access at home for possibly quite some time. I'm sure I'm not the only one who, due to work, studies or access difficulties are similarly risking missing picks if the six-hour scheme was implemented.

I will of course bow to a majority decision (or commish decision). But I much prefer the list thing.

6. Stockholm Ferrets - on the clock as of 1:30 PM

So this is an official decision then, or just your little coup? 1:30 PM WHERE? EST? if my time to pick had been at 6pm EST, I'm already in bed and would definitely stay until 12am EST, when my time runs out. You see the problem?

In any case, I scanned the yahoo database real quick just to make sure I don't lose my pick and I guess I'll just take a long-term flyer on Dan Blackburn.

There are problems with everyone. If we waited for perfection we might be here until doomsday. Sorry that my opinion is late.
I was busy with some assignments.

This is my say.

1 round per day.

Pick 1 - 11 AM
Pick 2 - 12 PM (noon)
Pick 3 - 1 PM
Pick 4 - 2 PM
Pick 5 - 3 PM
Pick 6 - 4 PM
Pick 7 - 5 PM
Pick 8 - 6 PM
Pick 9 - 7 PM
Pick 10 - 8 PM
Pick 11 - 9 PM
Pick 12 - 10 PM
Pick 13 - 11 PM
Pick 14 - 12 AM (midnight)

How does this work??
Well each team will have until it's specific time to pick his player. If the time is passed, then the next team could pick.

Exemple:
My team, the Laval Titans pick 2nd or 13th, depending the round.
Now let's say its the 20th round. and I am picking 2nd. I have to wait until the team right before me picks or exceeds his time, and I could pick. If you can't pick before your limit time, you can pick later that day, but you will loose that priority. The team picking #14 and then #1 the round after could pick both players at the same time.

I think this is a more effective way of doing so.

I would propose that we start this on Friday, so that all the owners see it in time. Everyone will know when to come online. It's all scheduled. Like I said, if you miss your pick, you can pick your player right after, but that player might be taken. So priority counts.

What do you guys think?

I actually like that idea.

I mean I have work and school but that's the only fair way we can get it done in a fairly decent amount of time.

That or we try to get as many users on at once to do an "off" line draft. Same rules would go for players not there, they'd get the highest rated player if they don't send in a list to AK or stark.

KungFuPenguin
09-23-2003, 10:41 PM
I have no problem with that either. But, if some can't even draft with 12/24 or 6 hour window what makes you think they will prepare a list? Just curious.

Preparing a list can be done in an hour, chosen at your own discretion before the deadline. Continuous drafting on the boards is a lot more time-consuming and necessitates checking te boards at least every 6th hour.

And if someone won't produce a list, he'll just get whoever's topping the Yahoo rankings at that point. Pretty straightforward.

No coup! Just saying if some don't participate the draft is moving along. No one will miss more 13 positions if they log on once a day, right?

Theoretically, you could miss 4 rounds in a day. Probably won't happen, but like I said, with a list-based draft you leave a lot more room for individual schedule confllicts, even major ones.

There are problems with everyone. If we waited for perfection we might be here until doomsday. I say we crap or get off the crapper . . . and just keep on drafting until we are certain we even have all the GM's in agreement with whatever. Suppose the consenus is to continue the draft . . . we would be then be trucking right along.

9 picks in 48 hours isn't going to cut it, and if we want to finish before the waiver draft, forget it.

Pick 1 - 11 AM
Pick 2 - 12 PM (noon)
Pick 3 - 1 PM
Pick 4 - 2 PM
Pick 5 - 3 PM
Pick 6 - 4 PM
Pick 7 - 5 PM
Pick 8 - 6 PM
Pick 9 - 7 PM
Pick 10 - 8 PM
Pick 11 - 9 PM
Pick 12 - 10 PM
Pick 13 - 11 PM
Pick 14 - 12 AM (midnight)

What do you guys think?

It hurries up the process, and gives you a set time, which is good; however, where I live, 6pm EST is midnight, so there's still the problem of different time zones. It's also very hard on people with non-standard schedules (does anyone work nights?) or trips planned, since you absolutely must log in every day at a very specific time.

Still, the set time is good. Hopefully people won't need the full hour to pick, meaning I won't have to stay up past midnight.

What do you guys think?

I think the idea is surely workable, I like it. I still say we continue with the agreed 12 hours between picks until the end of the next round which should be done by before Friday. It should segue-way perfectly. My continuing suggestion: Someone, whichever of you, has to stop waiting for approval and just go with it. There's an old proverb: Two leaders equal no leaders. No personal offense intended . . . it's just the way it is.

Here's my objection to using Schlinder's List: I like making the decisions during the draft itself. Depending who drafted whom in front of me changed a couple decisions. My list doesn't look anything like I drafted nor anything like Yahoo's ranking. That's one of the kool parts of this "keeper" league.

I suggest that we keep trucking along using the rules we initially setup (with the 12 hours) . . . for example, Butler Fiends has been on the board since 9:20 PM . . . that puts me up at 9:21 this morning (or sooner) where I will make my 20th round selection and put the Pocono Black Death on the clock. I don't know what personal problems may have crept-up on a few players who haven't made a selection in four days now but that's the breaks of the game. If I miss my turn for some reason, which can be very likely as I get called into some emergency situations where I can't break free of no matter what . . . but when I do I'll make my pick, just like the -- Van City Warriors and Baldwin Basher's will when they get back from whatever.

As I have said many times, no matter what decision is finally made, someone is going to ***** or have a better idea. That's just human nature. I'm in for "whatever" . . . Schlinder's List being one of my last favorite options.

Sounds like a plan.

I'd just like to add that, while a competitive game like this may sometimes spark intense debate, it's still just a game. Some of my comments may or may not have come out a little more vitriolic and petulant than intended. It's important to keep things in perspective, and I'd just like to state that whatever is decided, it's no skin off my nose. Thank you.

If you plan to do that, don't count on me making too many picks on time, if any. I have little time as it is (today is basically my freest day for a while).

I don't care though, I am content to work with waivers when everyone else is done picking or something...

BTW, I think this should be thrown out now. What are we going to do about Hasek? IMO, we should just have a raffle to determine who gets him...It is the most fair way.

And who would you trust to pull the ticket?

Does the winner have to be present?

Think of this (maybe just MO) . . .

~ If you can't make it let AK make your pick from your list.

~ Right now we haven't heard from 2 teams since Sunday and another right now is on the block for about 10 hours.

~ In about 2-1/2 hours Berlin Blades goes on the clock and that would get us to moving back thru round 21 pretty quickly.

~ Stark's idea is perfect and anyone who can't be sure of making the picking times can send a list to AK (I'd ask for his back however) that would be the gentlemanly thing to do, right?

I'm not going to make a list. First of all, after 20some leagues, I don't feel like it anymore, and second of all, I don't have much time to do it.

For the Hasek raffle, some people can have an AIM chat...AK pulls the paper out of the hat, we go by the honor system. It is the only way to do it, and it is how I have done it in any other league.

Stark/AK turn on the 1 hour (one a day) pick suggestion (an official commish command) . . . then, at least by this time next week we should have things under control.

Hopefully things will pick up, as all of the team owners do post on the boards with some regularity. Hopefully they will get into the habit of checking this sticky posting thread so we can finish up the draft.

It might not be a bad idea for Kovy and Stark to start collecting interested prospective new coaches so if anyone finds it too hard to keep up with their team, we can have a waiting list of prospective new coaches.

Must be approved by AK, the commish.

Starting Monday, we will start the "hourly" option.
Now, teams that are not able to pick their player on time, they can do it whenever after. Everyday, we will have a difference round. Whenever someone is ready, please pick. Don't just wait till your time rounds up. This is the best thing we can do. I want this league to work out well.

This is what everyone should write down.
Team 1 - 11 AM
Team 2 - 12 PM (noon)
Team 3 - 1 PM
Team 4 - 2 PM
Team 5 - 3 PM
Team 6 - 4 PM
Team 7 - 5 PM
Team 8 - 6 PM
Team 9 - 7 PM
Team 10 - 8 PM
Team 11 - 9 PM
Team 12 - 10 PM
Team 13 - 11 PM
Team 14 - 12 PM (midnight)

These times mean this: Team 1 will have until 11AM to submit his pick before loosing his priority. Now if he can't log in or something, he can submit his pick whenever after, but all other teams could pick in the meantime.

If AK accepts it, please write these rules/schedule on the messageboard on the site as well. We'll start it Monday with Round 22.

Round 22 Monday 29
Round 23 Tuesday 30
Round 24 Wednesday 1
Round 25 Thursday 2
Round 26 Friday 3
Round 27 Saturday 4
Round 28 Sunday 5
Round 29 Monday 6
Round 30 Tuesday 7

Once you pick ur player, u can add him on the site.

The one hour rule goes into affect Monday, September 29th at 11:00 AM EST. Unless, of course, something remarkably unusual happens. It starts with AK (Burlington Nugs) making the first pick in Round 22. That means that we have to get trough Round 21 by Monday morning . . . which shouldn't be a problem. Right gang?

The only problem I see is that we have a "GM" out there who hasn't checked-in for about a week. The Baldwin Bashers GM, Beechboy16. No offense intended to you Beechboy16, but it's been pretty widely known that the extra round draft in taking place. After a while, the other GM's are just looking for a sign of life. Should we send the league security officers to make certain that you haven't OD'd during your birthday celebration? A special note to the Bethel Park Phantom's GM . . . that pickup of Hasek was just downright sneaky! But all is fair in love and war . . . and this is war! Kind of reminds me of the sneaky draft pick of Alexander Ovechkin by Rick Dudley!

As I said above, I think it is silly.

GoPenguins
09-28-2003, 08:05 AM
Just to clarify....what type of move counts towards this 30 move limit?

Is signing a FA (like we are doing in this draft) counting as 1 move? If we switch a bench guy into a starter position, is that also counted as a move? Or is it just FA signings and trades?

I will concur that I hope the 30 move limit can be removed, but was just seeking a definite idea what constitutes a move.

Koltsov71
09-28-2003, 08:12 AM
Or is it just FA signings and trades?

I believe so, yes.

I know it's not switching bench to starter.

DJ Spinoza
09-28-2003, 08:16 AM
It's add/drops and trades that count towards it.

I believe it is there for an added realism...Which is another argument.

At the very least, we should get an extra amount of moves for each round...

Actually, I'm getting a little pissed off about the "number of GM's" who's impact resembles that of Ian Moran's career as a winger.

How many out there in cyber-land have been checking in to see if they are up? How about a quick role call? :dunno: Maybe a number to represent a good well intentioned four-hour mutiny? :dunno: I asking.

It would have been nice to get thru this round before the "one pick a day" (Round 23) goes into play "today" at 11 AM EST.

NOTE 1: You may need to make your Round 22 (if not made) AND your Round 23 pick at the same time to get this back in sync. I don't think anyone will complain.

NOTE 2: The times are the scheduled latest pick times. If the team in front of you has already made, don't wait. Also, if the last one to pick in the round makes two selections this may go a lot faster.

NOTE 3: If there are any problems please take them up with your village priest. If this can't be done I think this league might be cooked.

NOTE 4: Stark or AK . . . make a decision in regard to the "beechboy's team". Possibly you guys should take the next available selection so that he (or whoever the team's GM will be) doesn't get too screwed. If you or AK can't do that I'm volunteering Koltsov and/or myself to make his pick. Any problems with that? Also, please respond to the Van City Warriors complaint (is it him, you guys, or Yahoo)?

I am sure this is what the teams misunderstood.
Good question.
Since I've been involved in drafts that were late like this, we instored this rule, right.
The time next to your name means that you must pick before that specific time or else the team after you can pick too, and so on.

Now do we continue this starting today or do we wait for this 22nd round to finish.
I mean, we've announced this since last week, and since it's not the core players, we can do this right?
Starting today or tomorrow guys?
I don't mind, i'll give my approval.
For the ones who miss their picks, they can pick whenever after.

Like I said in my 1st few posts about this league, it will be a hard 1st year for the involved members, then we will look to replace the inactive teams by better members right?
So let's survive these late rounds.

Just to give you an example . . . I most likely will be in the OR at 2:00 PM this afternoon but I've setup someone else to make my picks. Maybe I'm taking my commitment to this a little to serious, eh?

kutdacheez, you're very good at it.
You and Koltsov have put some very work into this and I thank you guys. It takes hard work for the ones commited to make something work I guess. We'll learn from our mistakes. We'll replace the inactive teams for next year.

For my 22nd round pick that I missed, I pick Joe Nieuwendyk of the Leafs.
I think he's not taken right?
Wrong.
If i can understand this after a few minutes, what's with you guys?

In Round 20, 4th pick, Van City Warriors - selected Joe Nieuwendyk.

He also claims that he can't make any adjustments in Yahoo. Isn't that a question for you to address?

Common sense and logic would certainly point to that, yes.

If the commisioners don't know what's going on, it's a bit unrealistic to expect all the GM's to know what's going on.

I didn't understand it either.. It's way too confusing. But here is how I understand it:

Today was the day that we were supposed to start the 23rd round by picking at our allotted time slot. We did not get the 22nd round finished in time. So, people picking in the 23rd round when their time comes up are also making their pick in the 22nd round.

A quick check told me that you already selected in the 22nd round, so that will not effect you.

You will still be making two picks though. The last pick in the 23rd round, and the first pick in the 24th round. Make any sense? :)

Koltsov has it right . . . sorry about that I was in a hurry. I was only referring to those who had not got to select in round 22 because time ran out.

But you can make two at midnight since you are on the end.

Here's a question, just in case the Baldwin Basher is dead, or quit, or just has computer problems should we take the next best players or someone select for him???? My reasoning: Suppose he is dead . . . someone will have to take over that team (after a slight moment of silence and the wake, of course).

I'm just throwing that out there.

I tend to agree with that . . . BUT we have a (pseudo) set of rules in place (I think) and if we get in the one round in a day we should be able to get thru this thing (by the skin on our teeth) before the waiver draft.

Really, I think (we) at minimun got this thing jump-started . . . and now probably should just sit back, make our picks and bug each other if we feel prone to.

BTW, that reminds me . . . I wanted to ask: Do you think AK's selections have been (his own) or is he using the list you sent him? :D

Really sorry guys, this is the last time, i promise.

Apparently this selection has been challeged . . . and quite frankly, I'm not going to check it out. I reviewed my (sexertary) job description as that job duty wasn't in it. I do suggest that anyone who makes a selection go into Yahoo and select it there before posting it here and that way everything should be hunky-dory. Also, if there really is a problem with the Van City Warriors access to his Yahoo team either fix it, or state that is fixed (and that it is his problem) or can't be fixed.
