why is that a player like jason giambi is raked over the coals when players like bonds, sheffield, sosa, and mcquire are treated as the new legends of baseball

McGwire got blasted for andro. Sosa got egg all over his face for the corked bat. Sheffield and Bonds are getting off because they put up good numbers. Doesn't make it right--it's not--but that's why.

Bonds will get his when the truth finally comes out.Sheff I dont blame even 1/100th as much as Bonds.Bonds has said 100 times, "I know what goes in my body at all times.", but he's going to deny ever knowingly taken steroids??? Come on.

Giambi is catching all this heat for two reasons:

1. He plays in the NYC media market

2. He is one of the few people who has actually admitted to using steroids.

1. He plays in the NYC media market

2. He is one of the few people who has actually admitted to using steroids. And he had a terrible season and health problems. Sheffield admitted to unknowingly taking them, but put up big numbers (as did Bonds) so the media doesn't have much of a place to (chose to) go.

When did Sheff go on the record to deny it before he came out himself and said it?? I know Giambi and Bonds were specifically asked in Spring Training last year about steroids and denied it, however I never heard of Sheffield? I'd love to see a link.

Well, I dont have time nor do I care enough to fully document everything said about every player in this incident. I bow to you, sir.

did you honestly believe that the first time sheff was asked about using steroids was when he sat down and admitted it on espn
