Who would you rather have centering your 2nd line?Steve Rucchin or Jozef Stumpel?
Both guys average around 60 points per 82 games played, obviously Stumpel probley has more offensive ability then Rooch but Steve is far supperior defensively,is a leader on and off the ice he goes to the corners scores ugly goals and brings it everynight. Stumpel is a good passer has chemistry with the Kings best player(Palffy) and is probley a first line center on some times in terms of his offensive ability.
Me personally would rather have Rucchin because he goes to the corners plays D and brings it every night. And I may or not be making a homer pick so Whoever you would rather have centering your 2nd line why for the guy you pick and why not for the other.

Interesting, as a guy on wowhockey.com questioned me about this. He claimed them equal, as I took Rooch over Stumpel.
Rooch is a far more defensive than Stumpel. He shut down Feds last year in the playoffs, like Madden did Thornton. Stumpel can be better offensively, but it takes good linemates for both. If Rooch is with Sykora/Prospal, he should get an easy 60 points, if not more. Prboably could get 70 if he clicks with them. Stumpel can get the same numbers with Palffy.
A second-line center is more of a two-way position. A guy who can play both ends of the ice. That's why it doesn't take a hockey genius to take Rucchin over Stumpel as a second line center.

Stumpel is a better playmaker. That's it. That's the only area where you might want him over Rucchin.
The longer Allison is out, though, the more points he'll rack up.
Well Stumpel is injured now (but then again so is Ruuch) but Ill take Ruuch

If you'll allow me to edgein as a non-Ducks fan ;) I think it'd depend on what my 1st and 3rd lines looked like. Stumpel has the edge on offense easily, imo. However, I'm a full convert to two-way play, and I think nine-times out of ten I'd want Rucchin. He definately brings more to the table than Stumpel. But if I'm hurting for offense, I might take a chance on Stumpel.
Also, I'd take Stumpel over Rucchin in a fantasy league/pool, b/c he'll likely gather more pts than Steve.
just my two cents....
Well who would you rather go to war with (Playoffs)?
Ruch any day of the week and that's not a homer pick

I agree with the "Rucchin 9 times out of 10" sentiment. It really depends who you have on your other lines.

This is a really good point. I hadn't thought of it that way. I guess it depends what the teams "needs" are.

is it just me or is there some kind of voodoo mind spell bob miller emits through the airwaves to make me go to sleep? i can't stay awake long enough to know how the kings play.
