Zenon Konopka

I don't think he's with the organization any longer. He's not listed on the training camp roster for WBS. Anyone know what happened? I thought he player quite well for Wheeling/WBS last season. :(

Bobby Russell is also not listed on thier training camp roster. I don't think either player is listed on the roster of Wheeling as well.

Just read on the WBS message board that Konopka signed with the Utah Grizzlies. :(

I really liked him.

And he had a kickass name.

I was hoping to see him get a shot in WBS this year. I think he could've been a contributor. Seemed to have a pretty decent all around game. Guess we have enough younger guys though. I was really hoping to see him stay in the org. though.

Too bad. He would have been good in Wilkes-Barre.

That's ashame. He's one of the guys I really wanted to get a look at this year. The way everybody talked about him it seemed like he'd be a great fit on our 3rd line.
