Which team is heading to London in may?
Who will win the WHL?leeaf83 02-27-2005, 03:31 PM Which team is heading to London in may? Zetterberg4Captain* 02-27-2005, 04:42 PM Kelowna Rockets CF 02-27-2005, 07:51 PM The Memorial Cup will be home to a BC team for the next couple of years. Wheather it's Kelowna's or Kootenay's, It's too hard to tell. Lessy 02-27-2005, 07:56 PM Medicine Hat. BCCHL inactive 02-27-2005, 08:11 PM I'm going to take somewhat of a sleeper pick. I have a good feeling about Seattle. icelord6 02-27-2005, 09:07 PM Even though I'm biased, I think Calgary will go far, Pogge has really steppeit up as of late, as a recent article points out. sbtatter 02-27-2005, 09:22 PM How can I put Brandon on the list? :help: Hobey Baker 02-27-2005, 09:40 PM Much like 2003-04, I see Kelowna or Med Hat....I wouldn't be surprised to see the Rockets make another run - this time with a WHL Championship in tow. Canadian Chris 02-27-2005, 09:54 PM There's a handful of teams that could do some major damage come playoff time. Lethbridge has a POTENT offence. Calgary has played well since the trade deadline (as far as I know - and Pogge when hot is almost unbeatable) Kootenay has been the best team in the WHL hands down since Christmas. I think they're something like 19-2-2-2, their last 2 games have been losses at the end of a road trip Seattle is big, tough and can score. Bridges has played excellent for them. Kelowna and Everett...both teams who once they get the lead can, and usually do shut it right down....come playoff time, I wouldn't be surprised to see these 2 teams in the West finals AGAIN. Yeomans and Wall are very compitent tenders and are helped immensley by the teams system. Vancouver is another team with lots of fire power, but I don't see them doing all that much THIS year. IF however, Schwarz and the other import dman...can't remember his name are around next year, they'll be a team to look out for. Medicine Hat Idon't think will have it in them. I really like them, and I really like Nastiuk, but I just can't see them doing it. The same can be said for S'toon...I like Setoguchi, and Rabbit and Barnes...but we'll see. If I were a betting man....and I am...I would bet that you'll Kootenay and Everett in the Western Conference Finals. Lethbridge and _______ not sure who else in the East. Ultimately I see Kootenay coming out of the WHL though. Aaron Vickers 02-27-2005, 09:55 PM Even though I'm biased, I think Calgary will go far, Pogge has really steppeit up as of late, as a recent article points out. This one? http://www.hockeysfuture.com/article.php?sid=7556&mode=threaded&order=0 (Cheap plug, I know...but someone's gotta do it if I want to be read ;) ) sbtatter 02-28-2005, 02:59 PM If Brandon could keep this latest form going they'd go a long way, but, I wonder if they have peaked a little early.... Hordichuk_24 02-28-2005, 05:17 PM Kelowna has the best shot of going all the way, IMO. And I agree with Seattle. They are a good sleeper pick. I think they could surprise a few people... Le Golie 03-01-2005, 01:36 AM Brandon looks unbeatable right now, too bad they aren't on the list.... I'm not convinced that they are capable of grinding out a series yet, however they have to be considered among the top three or four favourites right now. Greg7 03-02-2005, 07:31 PM It is hard for me to imagine anyone beating Kelowna, including London. sbtatter 03-03-2005, 08:52 AM I was at the game (regular season crowd record, the place was packed). Cyr let in 2 soft goals and was yanked at the end of the 1st. 2 quick goals by Brandon in the 2nd and the game was effectively over. I though the Blades would turn it into a fight fest, but nothing happened, they seemed a spent force. Couple scraps with 30 seconds to go but that was it. Brandon's special teams looked unbeatable, Plante got his franchise record tying 5th shut out. 13 wins in a row, hope they're not peaking too soon!! Fehr, Stone, Konsorada, Monych and Later have really upped their play lately, and Moore, Day and Reaves are improving as well.... Upchuck19 03-03-2005, 01:41 PM Out of the west right now I would pick the Rockets to goto the dub final. Kooteney and Seattle are very close in overall game, so a seven game series anything could happen. Out of the east its pretty unfair to comment on Medicine Hat, Brandon and Saskatoon, haven't seen them out west since October and Letbridge since December. And won't see Calgary until next week. Cobras33 03-03-2005, 03:49 PM Which team is heading to London in may? where is the Brandon Wheat Kings on this poll canucksfan 03-03-2005, 06:03 PM Kelowna is the safest bet but I think Seattle has a good shot and also Medicine Hat. leeaf83 03-05-2005, 10:16 PM Darn, how could I forget Brandon!?!? Okay write in votes for Brandon unless a moderator can edit that poll goteam 03-05-2005, 10:46 PM Darn, how could I forget Brandon!?!? Okay write in votes for Brandon unless a moderator can edit that poll Brandon now added. Jared Ramsden 03-07-2005, 01:11 PM Brandon looks unbeatable right now, too bad they aren't on the list.... I'm not convinced that they are capable of grinding out a series yet, however they have to be considered among the top three or four favourites right now. If I had to pick a team right now, I'd pick Brandon....they seem to have a lot of fire power and are tearing things up right now.....Momentum is huge when going into the playoffs.....The Hitmen are way, way too inconsistent to go all the way....They might be able to win a round, maybe two, but that's about it. They have tons of talent, but underachieve....and their constant blowing leads late in the 3rd period will come back to haunt them come playoff time........ Heathen 03-25-2005, 12:39 AM I'm gonna say the Tigers... but thats my heart speaking. If we get out of the East and have to play one of the BORING trap teams (pretty much the whole Western Conference) then it'll be interesting. CF 03-25-2005, 02:32 PM The whole western conference? Try 2 or 3. leafs nation 03-26-2005, 07:41 AM Wheat Kings! | ||
