What a game in Lethbridge....

Just got back from a great game here in Lethbridge this afternoon.

The Hitmen lead the game for 55 minutes...before Kyle Pess scored a beauty splitting the Hitmen defense.

The with less then ten seconds left.....Pogge, blows it trying to play the puck right up the middle of the ice. The puck ends up on Seabrook's stick and he hammers it to the top corner.

The in Overtime, Filewich undresses the d-men on a 1 on 2 and slips a beauty between the legs of Pogge.

Overall the game was a doozer until the final 5 minutes....one thing I didn't like is the fact that the Hitmen are by far the chippiest and cheapest team i've seen in the dub this year.

How did Whitey play today? He sure has done well in his rookie year, seems to be a real team player and doesn't take any shifts off, impressive for a 16 year old.....

The Hitmen were unlucky tonight. They had them beat, and then seemed to let up after they went up by two. The Pess goal deflated them a little and Pogge was totally demoralized after the tying goal. You could see he blamed himself totally for not hanging on to the puck in the last 10 seconds. OT was sweet. The first 54 minutes were hell though.

It is so much louder in the upper deck than the bottom. Of course it was still very loud when the goals came.
