How is he doing so far compared to his two rivals?
Any chances he'll improve on is 15 games of last year?

Miller has been solid so far, but pretty much so has everyone else.

Miller gave up 2 goals in a little over 1/2 a game against the Sens including the OT GWG to Spezza.

Noronen has given up 2 goals in about 1 full game.

And Biron has given up 1 goal in half a game.

From the way things have looked thusfar things will start out this year like they did last year with Biron and Noronen and Miller in Rochester.

How much Miller plays in Buffalo depends completely on how Biron and Noronen play and whether they can stay healthy. And that's a crapshoot.
