So, which team do you think will make it all the way to the memorial cup?
Who will make it?Duff88 03-13-2005, 01:47 PM So, which team do you think will make it all the way to the memorial cup? PEli* 03-13-2005, 02:17 PM Rimouski or Halifax. plaugher 03-13-2005, 03:05 PM Rimouski or Halifax. Moncton PEli* 03-13-2005, 03:33 PM Moncton I would have liked them a few weeks ago...maybe. I know their injuries have hampered them but even at full strength, I don't see them making a ton of noise. Chootoi 03-13-2005, 04:58 PM moncton will only win if crawford pulls a giguere and takes them all the way. they do have their full lineup back except karsums who is likely done for the year with a fairly bad ankle injury (tendons and stuff). if they can put the puck in the net they'll do some damage but as it looks right now, no one is beating rimouski. we'll see how the bye affects them though. it is the playoffs so anything can happen (ask last years cape breton squad). HfxMoose 03-13-2005, 10:55 PM Halifax. Best D and great depth up front. If Church or Duch plays like their capable of the Moose will be playin in May. hossy316 03-14-2005, 08:29 AM Rimouski Oceanic FearTheFlyers 03-14-2005, 08:31 AM Chicoutimi plaugher 03-14-2005, 09:43 AM I would have liked them a few weeks ago...maybe. I know their injuries have hampered them but even at full strength, I don't see them making a ton of noise. The thing is, everyone is all healed up just in time for the playoffs. Graham looked mean and involved last week, and I think Karsums is nearly 100% (if he's not back already). (EDIT: Nevermind; read the whole thread, Phil.) They have a few games to re-gel, just in time for the playoffs. And with Crawford between the pipes, they still can make a lot of noise. Duff (or anyone), what's the latest on the Lascek situation? Rumour on Radoter (at least a few days ago -- I haven't checked since) was that he was ineligible for the whole season? Anything else on that? Or has that already been debunked, and he thus only missed a few games due to a minor injury? Hossa 03-14-2005, 02:36 PM I couldn't help but vote for Rimouski, but I think Halifax or Moncton would have a better chance of doing well in the tournament. Halifax/Moncton could beat a WHL team, and have a system capable of giving themselves a chance against London. MontrealSF 03-14-2005, 04:03 PM I voted for Chicoutimi. I think they have the goaltender, the forwards and the fiercy coach to go very far. Only the D remains questionable. LaD 03-14-2005, 07:09 PM Quebec can do it! They showed us they can beat anybody like Halifax yesterday and they have a very good goaler with Joyal and Boutin too. LaD plaugher 03-14-2005, 08:40 PM Quebec can do it! They showed us they can beat anybody like Halifax yesterday and they have a very good goaler with Joyal and Boutin too. LaD No one can question their offensive depth/skill. Joyal has had a great year between the pipes, but is untested in the playoffs. Will be interesting to see how he responds to "big-game" situations. And Boutin... well... :speechles PEli* 03-14-2005, 09:22 PM Quebec can do it! They showed us they can beat anybody like Halifax yesterday and they have a very good goaler with Joyal and Boutin too. LaD They can beat Churchill. With guys like Boutin and Tessier, things could get interesting. And their toughness is a giant question mark, IMO. How many teams take Tidball seriously after dodging Halifax twice now? Good team, not so good outlook. didjuicythat 03-15-2005, 11:37 AM I think it's going to be either Rimouski or Chicoutimi. wedge 03-15-2005, 11:14 PM I'm going with Rimouski. They're unbeatable right now. neg marron 03-16-2005, 10:36 AM Chicoutimi with maxime boisclair leading the team like gladiator(the film) Newfie Bruin 03-16-2005, 12:59 PM The Fog Devils!! Oh this year, Moncton. Blackshad 03-16-2005, 04:52 PM I think Shawinigan have a good chance.. because they have dominated Rimouski all year long. They play a very physical game and that tend to get other teams out of their game plan. They have the best goaler of the Q and one of the best and big defencive corp... so thats why i think they have a chance. They are 3-0 vs Rimouski. Yeah, but how many times did they play against Rimouski in their last 27 games? :D stugotz 03-19-2005, 02:32 PM I would normally have said Chicoutimi or Halifax for sure, but with how hot Rimouski has been it is possible for them to make it but that all depends on how far Crosby can take them. Im still sticking with Chicoutimi all the way. Rahan 03-21-2005, 06:34 PM I'm still 100% behind the Sags, but I voted Halifax, as I have my doubts about our D. | ||
