QMJHL playoff questionBill 03-16-2005, 03:28 PM Can someone tell me who qualifies for the playoffs in Junior hockey (does each team make it, is it the top four from a division, something in between?) and how the playoffs are organized? And is there a difference in the answers based on which league we're talking about (I'm most interested in the Q). Thanks a lot. LaLaLaprise 03-16-2005, 05:36 PM As far as the QMJHL goes: 16 teams...the winner of each division (3) get byes in rd 1. The bottom 3 teams regardless of division miss the playoffs. 1st round: #4 vs. #13 #5 vs. #12 #6 vs. #11 #7 vs. #10 #8 vs. #9 Round 2: You would have the 5 winners in rd 1, add to that the 3 bye teams. The highest remaining seed plays the lowest, etc. | ||
