i don't think i fully understand this, but maybe someone can fill me in on the details. it looks like two divisions - one for 10 quebec teams, the other for 8 atlantic + lewiston teams. everyone doesn't play everyone equally, ex: St. John's doesn't play in gatineau but they have 2 home games against them. 2 inter-division games per team.

it's probably about as equal as they could have made it

Difficult to plan with the unbalanced divisions, but far more confusing than it probably should be.

I think they are giving extra games to "rivalry" opponents, even if it means making things unbalanced even within their own division. For example, Rouyn plays Val d'Or 12 times, while only playing Gatineau 4 times. Whether these are for legitimate rivals, or just geographic proximity, who knows.

Confusing schedule, that could have been solved if: a) Bathurst went to a Central Division, or b) one Quebec team joined the east conference. Neither of which was likely to happen, as it would ruin existing rivalries.
