Yeah, both Perezhogin and Pleks will get whiplash always looking back to see where they left Dags behind. Seriously though, can he keep up if those guys turn it on?

Nice to see Higgins getting some more ice time at centre...seems to indicate that management is giving him a good look at both positions.

The top line is a carry over from last season and the first pre-season game. They have good chemistry.

The second line is intriguing, as it puts the NHL's best faceoff man with two excellent two-way forwards. With Koivu and Kilger out for now, this may be another test for Yannic to see what chemistry emerges between these three guys.

I like Higgs and Ward together, two young promising players and they should feed off each other's energy, and be responsible in both ends.

The fourth line could be really fun to watch to see Pleks and Perezhogin flying out there together. Two smaller, skilled players, with a big, slow finisher...it could be a decent line and a potential top line Hamilton preview.

I really like the fourth line!No disrespect to Ward who it is fair to say still has some good upside, but is Higgins going to get on a full line at some point with NHL players to see what he can do with the puck instead of having to spend most of his shift backchecking. Am I overreacting here?

Perreault and Bulis played very well together against the Sens...did we find another dynamic duo?

Well I hate the 4th line. Soft all the way. And why the hell is Blouin on the 3rd line? http://smiley.onegreatguy.net/puke2.gif

1st line is a given as CJ seems to push for this one to be our opening 2nd line.

I would have prefered to see Perreault playing with Sundstrom and Ward.

I was thinking I could go see the game tonight but I think I'll pass.

I don't like the third line, why Blouin's always playing, this guy suck! why don't they try a young one.. but maybe if things dosen't go well it'll end up like this:

Zednik-Ribeiro-Dagenais
Bulis-Perreault-Sundstrom
Ward-Higgins-Hossa
Perezhogin-Plekanec-Blouin

There's a lot of young player tonight, the results should be interesting!

Hossa-Ribeiro-Zednik
Bulis-Perreault-Sundstrom
Ward-Higgins-Blouin
Perezhogin-Plekanec-Dagenais

I really like the fourth line!

1st line:
Will probably be our 2nd line this year, and our 1st until Koivu comes back. Great mix of talent and Size.

2nd line:
I think its gonna be a test if bulis can contribute with Perreault and if Sundstrom can bring some offence this year.

3rd line:
Blouin score 2 goals in a intra squad games, will see if he his able to bring some intensity with more ice time. Higgins if he can play good defansively, and for Ward, he will be the offensive threat on the line, but he will have to take car of the defansive too.

4th line:
I think its exactly what will be the 1st line in Hamilton. So they probably dont have a chance to make the team, but there is a good chance they'll play together.

Go Habs Go!!!

It's still only the third pre-season game, so guys like Blouin will still get a chance and some ice time. Yeah he brings some energy, but I am just not sold on this guy.

It won't be too long until some more cuts are made and you start to see a more core group of players emerge and some more consistency as CJ finds some lines that he likes. The Bulldogs' camp just started and Jarvis will want to see some of his core players returning so that he can work his lineup as well.

well that's sad but if only one of our line is looking like that this year, we won't be better than the pens!

well that's sad but if only one of our line is looking like that this year, we won't be better than the pens!

I was actually thinking the complete opposite. With Koivu and kilger out for a while I was thinking that these lines could pretty much be what we'll see for a month. I don't think that 3rd line will be though because they'll find someone better than Blouin to fill out the spot. Probably Sundstrom will move down one spot while Audette will jump in that second line. or maybe Zednik will play second line while Audette plays on the first one.

As for the 4th, I just think it's a matter of giving ice-time to youngster. Dwyer will end up there with probably Juneau.

Anyways, I was just thinking that it could pretty much be our line-up this year. I don't think we'll be as bad as the pens (they are gonna surprise a lot of people this season though), but Theo is better be in a good shape or we won't be doing much.

Phil

edit: and by the way we are rebuilding so it's kinda normal that at one point our line-up doesn't look too impressive (not saying I wish we lose or anything, but it has to happen at one point)

First line may generate offense, but Ribeiro needs more physical protection than he'll get from Zednik and Hossa. Second line is makeshift. Sundstrom can play anywhere in a pinch. I can't understand using Blouin again (he played in the Boston game). Is it to keep the Leafs from running the new guy, Higgins? I hope Plekanec and Perezhogin develop some chemistry. Both are talented but will need some protection from a bigger linemate.

There's still like 7 games left in the preseaseon..everyone will get to see ryder plenty enough.
Hell it doesnt matter if they win or lose, but blouin is there mainly because of who we're playing tonight..yeah, the leafs. There's quite a number of guys on that physical team who could man handle the Habs..blouin is at least something we can attempt to throw back at them..even though he sucks at fights too. But hey, we gotta learn to play more physical.

Ahhh, if I were gm it'd be so long dackell, sundstrom, audette, juneau..perhaps even ribiero. He hasn't shown me much for the past few seasons.

Aren't Ward and Perez RWs? I'd wish Perez would take the second line RW spot, Sundstrom and Ward respectively LW and RW on the third and Blouin on the fourth where he "belongs".

Sundstrom-Higgins-Ward would be a third line I wouldn't mind to carry all year.

I can't see Perez doing much in the NHL on a line with Plekanec and Dagenais. I sure hope I'm wrong and that he'll be all over the scoreboard... :dazzle:

I think using Ribeiro as our first line C until Koivu's back is a great thing - it's about time the Habs show him a little confidence

If we put ryder in the spot of blouin this could be quite the line.

Ward - Higgins - Ryder

I would love to see what this line could do in the nhl level. It has a bit of everything. Size-speed-grit-hart-scoring touch and playmaker.

The one thing I see is three rookies playing together. Don't think you'll see this kind of lines after the season opener.

I don't know why some of you guys get so worked up over pre-season lines... it really doesn't matter.

:dunno:

But I have to admit, I AM interested in seeing Bulis - Perreault - Sundstrom as our second line.

This line will end the night with a -2 or -3 differential... Pretty uneffective line!

This may be held against you.

You might want to delete this post after the game ;)

I sure hope so.

And it will. Perreault has our only goal tonight against TO. I don't know if his line was on the ice for the goals against though.
