Who would you rather have?
Brown vs. CarterMOOSE55 09-23-2003, 07:53 AM Who would you rather have? canucksfan 09-23-2003, 08:08 AM Jeff Carter. He has a lot of potiental Mack 09-23-2003, 08:40 AM Dustin Brown MOOSE55 09-23-2003, 08:47 AM I also said Brown.....there's a reason why he was ranked #2 N/A skater. Robert Paulson* 09-23-2003, 11:00 AM Brown easily.. Epoch 09-23-2003, 11:52 AM Dusty Brown. Xx Shadow xX 09-23-2003, 12:35 PM Dustin Brown. Feenom 09-23-2003, 12:41 PM I'll say Brown for now but Carter will surprise many.... Don'tcry4mejanhrdina 09-23-2003, 01:45 PM Brown. Gags1288 09-24-2003, 07:07 AM I think it very much depends on the team. If you need a character forward with poward forward upside than you take Brown. If you want a great skating center with 1st/2nd line potential and a good all around game then you go with Carter. That's why the Flyers picked him and that's why i pick him in this poll, but I think both will be very good players. I know Carter's stock is not nearly as high as Dustin's, but I think he'll be the better player from what I saw from him in training camp (though I haven't seen Dustin, so what do i know?) Brown isn't exactly having a bad camp himself. Gags1288 09-24-2003, 08:10 AM Brown isn't exactly having a bad camp himself. Yes, i know that and understand that. I honesantly made my pick based on the flyers needs more then who will be better. To be honest, I think they'll be completely different players and both succesful, it's hard to compare. DJyellow 09-24-2003, 08:36 AM Brown. but Carter has potentially a higher ceiling imo, especially if he bulks up more monkey_00* 09-24-2003, 03:50 PM Carter monster_bertuzzi 09-24-2003, 04:34 PM From what I've seen and read along with the comment of the coaching staff it looks like Dustin Brown has a chance to make the team as an 18 year old. He's allready got NHL strenght and certainly doesn't lack the speed and skill. He drives to the net hard every time and no one would be suprised if hes put on the top line with Deadmarsh and Allison. Brown was a steal at #13 for us. He was a for sure top 10 pick if not for Phaneuf being pick earlier then projected. It was certain the Kigns were gonna pick him when it was our turn and he was still available along with Parise and Nillson. I don't know much about Carter but from all the scouting reports I've read about him before the draft he was projected to go around 15-20. I also read that he isn't a special talent. He brings a little bit of everything to the table. That's not a bad thing cause if he puts it all together then he could become a very effective player. In conclusion... Dustin Brown > Jeff Carter Wow, a King fan saying Brown is better!! BTW, I voted for Brown :). MOOSE55 09-25-2003, 02:43 AM come on guys, lets get along.......even brfore the draft had taken place, most people would have taken Brown over Carter Koltsov71 09-27-2003, 05:34 AM Dustin Brown.
