New Luongo Pads and Mask

Not sure if anyone else noticed this but he hes been wearing his new pads and a new mask (though he may have had it at the end of the season). Also, he got rid of the yellow pads because they exagerated the flaps.

at least he didn't get rid of the Pink Panther.

If I was a goalie for the panthers, my goalie mask would have a panther on it because people like me are original. Rally Rat gets no love though.

Luongo's old mask had a Fl Panther walkin on the side, along with the Pink Panther's face on it.

Wow, those new goalie pad rules really cracked down hard, eh? :dunno: Okay, so they turned out to be a joke.

I think he looks great, but more importantly, the inch or two he had to take off the top of the Koho's doesn't seem to stop him from closing the five hole when he drops. Good news for Luongo fans everywhere...

I like the pads more (because they match the jersey really nicely), but I don't like the helment as much.

I don't think there is a particular fascination. Actually, I am surprised that all the goalies over the years never thought of the idea.

I actually thought it was awesome when they would show him on the jumbotron with the stone cold eyes and the pink panthers -- all while playing the theme. It was a pretty cool touch.

I remember Kidd's mask was nice also. It was a Panther's skull and it opened its mouth kinda like what the Beezer had.
