Your predictions please....
Guy Flaming 04-06-2005, 08:55 AM Tigers in 6, Brandon in 5, Kootenay in 6, Kelowna in 6.
MikeS 04-06-2005, 08:58 AM Tigers in 6
Wheaties in 6
Tips in 7 (Need hot goaltending by Mike Wall, otherwise, Ice could bury them quickly)
T-Birds in 6 or 7 (Rockets without Shea Weber again...)
Peter 04-06-2005, 10:32 AM If Chipchura is back PA in 7...if he isn't back Tiger's in 6.
Calgary in 5. They are in a groove and are a team I would NOT want to be playing right now.
Kootney in 5. I give one game to Everett in this series only out of kindness. The Ice got a little scared in round one and it won't happen again.
Seattle in 6. Kelowna looks tired and flat. They had a tough first round and I love how Seattle is playing.
Sabes 04-06-2005, 02:58 PM If Chipchura is back PA in 7...if he isn't back Tiger's in 6.
Chipper played in Game 4 against the Blades in the Raiders sweep.
saskhab 04-06-2005, 03:08 PM Kootenay, Seattle, Brandon, and Medicine Hat; though I want to say P.A. in that one I'm thinking it will go 7 and Medicine Hat will squeak it out.
Seattle/Kelowna is a tough one, but I really do think Seattle is the best team west of the Rockies. I'll take them in 6.
Ice in 5 over Everett. Everett will keep the games close, but the Ice are too deep for them.
Brandon is the team to beat in the WHL, IMO. They faced a team with a lot of heart (but not a ton of talent) in the first round to prep them... and they've been nearly unbeatable since Christmas. Wheat Kings in 6... I'm not going to shortchange the Hitmen's efforts recently but they still don't have the team chemistry to beat the best.
Dave is a killer 04-06-2005, 03:33 PM Tigers in 6, Brandon in 5, Kootenay in 6, Kelowna in 6.
I second these predictions
The Raiders have had a long rest, maybe too long. Chipper is back in the line up and looked good in the role he was given vs the Blades, Anholt did not want to push him too hard 1st game back. The unofficial word is that Anholt was happy to be drawing the Tigers due to the regular season success. Raiders in 6.
Greg7 04-06-2005, 08:23 PM Anyone know what Shaw is broadcasting this round?
Hockeycanada* 04-06-2005, 09:19 PM Anyone know what Shaw is broadcasting this round?
They said it was going to be an Eastern series but I do not know which one. Anybody know?
EDIT-I checked out the shaw site and the Brandon-Calgary series will be broadcast. The first game is on friday at 730 central.
Jared Ramsden 04-06-2005, 11:19 PM Tigers in 7....PA will give them a run for their money.....
I think the Hitmen might be hitting their stride.....I'll say Calgary in 7.......
Kootenay in 6 and Kelowna/Seattle I don't know enough about the two teams.....should go 6 or 7......
Kelowna looks tired and flat. They had a tough first round and I love how Seattle is playing.
you must be joking, you must not of watched the series! rockets were banged up last year after playing the ams, but they are very healthy after the giants. they won the last three games against the giants and not once did they look flat?
rockets in 6, tigers in 6, hitmen in 7, ice in 7

So, are you tell me, that as a Rocket Fan you were happy with the way they played against Vancouver? Compared to how they dominated this year in the WHL? Are you trying to tell me you think that if they keep playing at the level they played against Vancouver you will be happy?? I think not.

Pssst, guess who started skating on Tuesday for Kelowna, yup ... you guessed it. Shea Weber, we shall see how this series goes now with a better defense against Seattle ... Kelowna in 5

The Giants in this series were alot better team than during the regular season. Rockets weren't flat or tired the first three games, it was defensive breakdowns that cost the two games.

After two back to back losses are you still so sure about the Rocket's not being flat and tired???? Just wondering.

followed by 2 drubbings one being a 4-0 whooping and last night a 7-0 thumping ... so I'd say Kelowna is in fine form ... I stick by my first prediction Kelowna in 6
Dave is a killer 04-19-2005, 11:21 PM wouldn't ya know it ... Kelowna FINALLY defends home ice and advances :yo:
