I hope to see Datsyuk play today. I'm also interested in seeing how the penalty kill plays. Hopefully better, clearly.

Illitch got more money having them all on Fox Sports. The Wings games, even in pre-seasons, are ratings winners for the local Fox Sports channel.
Gotta wonder if they got fleeced however. A year from now, this Wings team might be struggling. And you wonder if a lot of the fans will stop watching.
Too bad. The Wings have been on channel 50 as long as I can remember. And while I know pretty much everyone has cable, or something like it, it's sad that the Wings are almost NEVER on free-tv.
If the Wings manage to remain competitive, it'll only be a matter of time before the big games (playoffs/rivalries) are pay per view.

I'm well and truly bummed that we don't even get radio on this game. I for one would also like to see Pavel play tonight...I sure missed him Saturday.

Is it just me or did Steve Yzerman play better than he has in a while the other night? Seemed like he was more energized playing on the line with Henrik and Tomas.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to keep an eye on ESPN News or something. I'm so glad baseball season ends this week...and we can get back to the more important sports.

Funny. I was thinking the opposite. I thought he did reasonablt well in last year's playoffs when playing, oddly enough, with Robitaille and Larionov.
ANyway, Yzerman looked slow. His turns were HUGE. He whiffed on some onetimers from Z. And didn't show me much.
But hey. it's an exhibition.
He'd be foolish to lay it all out, particularly when his knee has already started acting up.

Figures it's Detroit that opens the flood gates on Potvin.

Nice to see Hudler get another goal. That would be the third rookie in a row with Zet last year and Datsyuk the year before if he makes it.

I looked at NHL.com and Barnes didn't play. I thought he add 3 assists according to the Bruins board.

Since they have to play tonight, i think they were saving him and his linemates.
