Bud The Spud* 09-24-2003, 06:00 AM Not really a historical event, but I'll never forget the things I'll always remember the things I was doing on the day that Princess Diana died. I was home sick from school and can remember hearing the bulletin on TV in the next room. Also watched Oswald get shot live on TV two days later. The first lunar landing. The single-most exciting, nerve-wracking thing I've ever seen. Paul Henderson's goal in '72. I practically jumped through the roof. Lennon murder. We must be close to the same age, I think I would have cited those events as well. I would add '68, '69, '71, '73, '75-'79, '86 and '93, years where the Habs won a Cup. ;) Darz 09-24-2003, 06:43 AM ah....the day that I had that really good sandwich. I'll never forget that. Back in '91, July 27th, I was in my kitchen. It was a toasted tomato, cheese, cucumber, and lettuce sandwich. I don't think I'll ever enjoy another sandwich that much ever again. I don't think I'll ever see bread toasted that perfectly, tomatoes that fresh...... Does anybody else remember me eating that sandwich???? NO???? oh sure you remember the Berlin wall falling, the Gretzky trade, but you don't remember that sandwich!!!!!!!!!
