~HF SEL Fantasy League Roster Moves~

I have started this thread to help me keep track of any roster moves the GMs may want to make during the season. To notify me of a roster move, you can either private message or e-mail me, or post your change in this thread. When making a line-up change, please indicate who you are taking out of the line-up and who you would like to replace them with. Remember that if you make a move in the middle of a round, the move will not go into effect until the following round. Also, in this thread I will indicate which 'automatic' roster moves go into effect each round (such as when a fantasy GM has a player in his starting line-up but he doesn't dress for a game and is replaced with the team's first extra).

I think we should cut down the number of starting defnders to 6 come round 2. No team actually play 4 whole pairings regularly. And many people here, including me have troubles even finding 8 defenders.

that would be fine with me... and slightly easier to keep track of. however, the rest of you shouldn't base your decision on ease of stat tracking. whatever you guys would prefer is fine with me.

if enough of us are eventaully okay with the change (4 out of 11 so far), we may have to wait until round 3 to start it since round 2 starts in , oh, 12 hours or so. don't think we'd have time for everyone to decide who to sit out.

He has just started to skate. I was at the practise this morning and he did some drills, but didn´t play with the team. He doasn´t know when or where he´ll play yet but he was confident that he could get a top-12 spot.

he retired, did he? hmmm... iwa sn't aware of that. i'm not sure what to do in this situation. there isn't currently anyone on waivers, but Hans Jonsson may soon be on there if he signs with MoDo, as has been specualted. However, Predatore gets first crack at him since his team is in last place, and I doubt he would pass up Jonsson. Perhaps some sort of exception can be made due to retirement of a player. i don't know.

The free agent pool looks pretty dry, as well... no help there really. I am looking to trade one of my d-men from Goteborg Vikings. anyone on my roster look interesting to you?

too bad (for me) that i didn't see this offer before the 3rd round (1G,1A for Kollar)... if you are still offering, i'll accept. however, i must warn you that while tabulating the stats this week, i noticed that your team seems to be not very deep at forward, and in fact, because of injuries and scratches only 11 counted, including Kollar. you may want hold off and see if any players are available thru waivers shortly... or use one of your two goalies (Kapanen and Korhonen) to get a good forward from someone weak in goal. just my suggestions :)

yes, you can pick up a guy for free since you are a player short, but only from the free agent pool, not the waiver wire. players that come from overseas and would make a 'big' impact on the league (possibly: jonsson, rasti pavlikovsky, kristoffersson, hoglund, anders eriksson, etc.) go immediately to the waiver wire.

Leksand is playing well know. IMO Leksand vs. MIF Redhawks in an obvious "1".

so, it would appear that the Rastislav Pavlikovsky signing is official then(?). if so, the waiver period for him will begin AFTER the end of round 10, and the GM who will have the first shot at him will be the person who has the lowest score AFTER round 10 (i should have the scores posted by 1-2 hours after the games have been completed). that person will then have 12 hours to claim the player.

Crap, just read that Peter Larsson is injured. Oh well..

Leksand's Rastislav Pavlikovsky is now on waivers. Sweden's Bacon Battalion have the first chance to take him since that team is last in the standings. If Sweden decides not to take him, or misses his 12 hour window (starting from the time of this post), it will be the turn of Tampa GM's Calgary Hitmen. If Sweden does select him, he will have to drop a player from his current roster into the Free Agent Pool.

ok... that change has been made to your roster, Sweden. i put Pavlikovsky in your extras section because i don't know if he will be playing next round or not. if you want him moved into your top 12 forwards before then, let me know and let me know who you want to dropped to your extras section in his place.

and next round (#11 already?!?!) is one of the ones that has some scheduling difficulties. five games are played on this Saturday and the sixth (DIF v. FBK) is played on Tuesday the 28th of October. the rosters that will be used on the first 5 games will be the same as that used for the sixth game, despite it taking place between rounds 14 and 15. it's not really something to be too concerned about, as it's only me who has to remember to fix up the statistics later on :) . i'll update the stats after the first 5 games as i usually do, but keep in mind that they won't be complete until the 28th.

Yeah, von der Geest has really struggled in Linköping and has now returned to Oskarshamn where he was very succesfull before signing with Linköping. Too bad about all your players dropping out...

yes, i've noticed your roster problems, Sweden. just in case you aren't aware, though... Eriksson i think was only a short term call-up for a few rounds. he hasn't played in Brynas' last several games. i don't know if he'll be playing in the upcoming round or not. you may want to consider dropping von der Geest or Eriksson or someone from your roster and picking up a guy who is playing more (Robert Nordberg or someone, maybe). just a suggestion.

and on the bright side (for you, Sweden), at least you're not as bad off as poor ridderwall, whose team has only been able to dress 8 forwards for the last two rounds because of injuries. ouch.

okay... GoGoHuselius now gets to gogo on a much needed break from stat tracking ( :) ), as the SEL takes time off for the Karjala Cup. SEL play resumes on 11th November, with two round 20 matches and a round 31 match, followed by the beginning of round 17 on the 13th of November. Remember: the rosters that you choose for the round 20 and 31 games will be the rosters that will used in the rest of the matches in those rounds (which take place 20/11 and 26/12, by the way). so, might i suggest that this little 10 day break would be a good time to discuss and complete any trades you may want to make with each other and whatnot. enjoy.

according to eurohockey.net and Timra's official site, Toni Koivunen has left for the Pelicans Lahti of the SM-Liiga. seeing as i cannot read Swedish (yet), can anyone confirm for me that this is not just a short-term thing? if so, it would appear Kronblom has some changing of his Sodertalje SK roster to do. and apparently, Timra has acquired Kristian Gahn to replace him... but i guess that wouldn't really affect the fantasy league in any way.

Those changes have been made, Shayne Toporowski (Pelicans) is now being linked with Södertälje. Though I expect Södertälje SK to aquire more than one player in order to avoid relegation.

alright, the little mini-round is over and the real rounds start up again on thursday at 19.00. sorry i haven't been around lately, but everything seemed to go smoothly with the Riihijarvi waiver. all rosters have now been updated, also.

in a related note... i will be moving to a new apartment around the time of US Thanksgiving (27 nov) and will not have internet access starting from around then until as late as 7 dec or so, depending on when i can get the damn cable company in to hook me up. for this time period, we have a few options: 1) someone else takes over the stat tracking, 2) someone records the raw stats in between each round and sends them to my e-mail address so i can catch up with the tracking when i get back online, 3) we just skip those rounds ( :( ), 4) we wait until i get back online and i can do a 'cumulative' update of however many rounds i missed, which could be somewhat inaccurate, as i will have no way to know the +/- ratings for players in individual games.

let me know what you guys think would be the best option.

p.s. i will be updating the stats after round 17, including today's 3 games.

I hope someone will help you out there GoGoHuselius. I would if I wouldn't have so much work with ep, especially after each round is played.
If no one has the time I guess we could go with option no. 4 ?

sorry i haven't been around much lately, but i've been quite busy (i did manage to see Trenton Titans vs. Spartak St. Petersburg twice, though :) )... anyway, Hakan Ahlund is still on waivers, I guess, with Kronblom passing on him and Dr Seldon now able to select him. Stockholm Bruins now have 12 hours to select him (starting.... now!), and if they don't take him by then, it will be the turn of zecke and his Kiruna lions. after that, round 33 will have been played (or at least started) and we will have to wait and see whose turn it would be. rosters for round 33 are due tomorrow at 19.00, by the way. and as i mentioned earlier, i will not be updating the stats and standings until the conclusion of round 32 on the 4th of January. if you want to know your team's score at any point before then, though, just post or PM me and i'll put it up.

Leksand) will take place on the 4th, and after that i will be posting stats and standings (i think you will find the standings tightening up a bit!). i have, however, updated the roster moves post on the first page of this thread, for anyone who may want to keep up on who is playing and who is not for their team (without having to look thru all the individual teams' stats).

He had a surgery to his back (diskbråck in swedish) before christmas. They have said that they´ll have to wait another 3-4 weeks before they can tell if he can play anymore this season. I don´t think he will, it´s more likely the end of his career.

that's a shame. i hope he recovers and plays again. i believe, in english, that would be a herniated or slipped vertebral disc (hehe... i've been studying). if it is or becomes a chronic problem (or if he has had that problem in the past), i think it is very likely career threatening. too bad.

Sheesh, I'm no Modo supporter but one has to wonder if there will be a Modo in the SEL for Foppa&Näslund to return to next year. What are they now, 9th or 10th in the standings? Maybe there will be a positive side to this though, now everyone HAS to step it up a bit *cough*WERNIS*cough*..

i think only Tellstrom of Lulea and maybe Ragnar Karlsson of Linkoping among forwards. for defensemen, i guess Lorentzon has seen playing time, Mattias Karlsson of Brynas usually dresses anyway, and i think Adam Andersson too. that's about it as far as i know.

oh, and in round 37 these guys played, although i guess some may be only because of injuries: Elias Granath, Per Savalahti-Nagander, Carl-Johan Eriksson, Johan Jonsson.

and maybe you could offer a trade to someone... like a 1-for-2 deal or something to someone with a lot of extras who play.
