As mentioned earlier, of all the 20 teams, 16 will go through to the playoffs. We'll decide right here which 2 will be eliminated from each conference..

For more info about one's team, please visit this thread:

http://www.hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=141607&page=1&pp=15

Would be nice if you leave a comment stating your reasons why those 2 teams should be eliminated. The draft took a while, it be nice to hear why you didn't make it. For the rest, consider everything that you think should be considered. Including the number of players each team has..

Poll closes after 20 or more votes, or after 3 days.

Voted for Phoenix and Utah..

Phoenix is way too unexperienced. That and I'm not much of a fan of Zach Randolph. Also, I love Jamaal Magloire, but I feel he's a tad overrated. They do have lots of potential as a group, especially with McGrady leading the way. But stacking them up vs the rest of the conference, I just don't see them edging out anyone just yet. Picking Utah was hard, as it was either them or Denver. But outside of Nowitzki, Utah's starting 5 is filled with problem players. Players I don't see fitting together and forming a group. Rasheed Wallace is a competitive guy, but he often lets emotions get the better off him, on or off the court. Same with former teammate Damon Stoudamire. Ricky Davis is a selfish *****, sorry, but I just wouldn't ever want him on my team. I remember when he threw the ball against his own backboard just to pad his stats in order to get his 10th rebound. Odom has been in the news in a negative way as well, though I still love his versatile game.

Denver has Kidd, Webber and plenty of defensive role players. Now that I think of it, I can't quite see why I had my doubts between them and Utah anymore. They're quite solid.

Bump..

Please state your reasons as well.. People want to know why the team they build was a "faillure"..

Denver and Seattle. The benches in this conference are especially solid. Especially Dallas. Wow. Too bad their starting 5 have no defense.

Lakers: Dont really have a secondary scoring option after KG, and if/when Grant Hill goes down, team scoring will really take a hit. PG are unexpierenced compared to the other teams (even though I believe Nelson will be a very capable player in the near future but Id rank him behind Telifair and Livingston from that draft class).
They will be outgunned on most nights but will hang around simply due to KG.

Utah: team chemistry is a big issue Ive got with this team, just to many egos and hot tempers on one team. I love the Nowitzki/Odom, but I just dont think the team will mesh well together

Denver Nuggets

C Troy Murphy
PF Chris Webber
SF Bruce Bowen
SG Larry Hughes
PG Jason Kidd
-----------------
PF Kurt Thomas
SG Doug Christie
C Dikembe Mutombo
PG Earl Boykins
SG Derek Anderson
C Alonzo Mourning

I'm a huge C-webb fan... and kidd isn't too shabby either, potentially avg a triple double. Murphy is a young future star but thats where the team starts dropping off. Hughes is solid, but not going to be a major factor game in game out. The bench is very much in the retirement phase and currently lined up to get their jell-o and pensions.

Phoenix Suns

C Jamaal Magloire
PF Zach Randolph
SF Drew Gooden
SG Tracy McGracy
PG Sebastian Telfair
--------------------
SF Andres Noicioni
SG Tony Allen
C Jarred Jefferies
PF Chris Anderson
PG Earl Watson

Don't get me wrong, I like this team...but in about 3-5years. Magloire has just started coming into his own as a bonafide 1. Gooden and Telfair are both too young to fairly evaluate given their lack of experience. Randolph and McGrady are the horses on this team, and would be required to carry 90% of the scoring which I couldn't see happening with Tracy's back issues and mental issues *cocky, conceited* Once again... poor depth on the bench.

FOTS voted to oust me? Very peculiar. The team I built is using the same philosophy his favorite team uses.

I'm not saying my team shouldn't get a vote against it, but it's odd when my one major weakness is defense, and there's not alot of holes on offense, a guy who worships a team built on offense votes against me. Then again, he could've misunderstood the poll, which makes alot more sense, but it doesn't matter a whole lot.

Heh, I wasn't around to keep track of that to be honest.. But Phoenix is also only one ahead, maybe we need to let this go for a few more days..

Nothing can be undone anymore, it's Phoenix and Utah who are no longer part of this NBA season.

I'd like every participant to pm me the order of the teams from 1 to 8 (excluding Phoenix and Utah ofcourse) Mind you that these are regular season seedings, so it might differ from who you think have the better odds during the playoffs..

Jerry Sloan is the coach, there would be no chemistry problems!!!!
