Ford Prefect 09-27-2003, 06:31 AM Who would be your top 5 teams to absolutely suck this year and thus have the best shots at #1 (excluding lottery pick)?
#1 - Pittsburgh
#2 - Montreal
#3 - Columbus
#4 - Calgary
aaaaand my upset special
#5 - Washington or Minnesota
Who would you pick?
AvsGuy 09-27-2003, 06:33 AM I think Nashville has a definite chance at a high pick next year...
IkeaMonkey* 09-27-2003, 06:35 AM You mention the Caps before Phoenix and Nashville....wow, well done.
Samkow 09-27-2003, 06:36 AM I think Nashville has a definite chance at a high pick next year...
Your a Brave Man
I hope they get it
Columbus
Realistic Chances
1.Pittsburgh
2.Phoenix
3.Florida
4.San Jose
5.Montreal
Brock 09-27-2003, 06:43 AM I think Phoenix is in for a very long year. Right now I'd say they and Pittsburgh look like the front runners.
tom_servo 09-27-2003, 06:46 AM It would take injuries to Jagr and Kolzig for the Caps to fall that low.
But, it would be interesting if they landed Ovechkin. They already have a strong pool of prospects, and Ovechkin would join Jagr in '04.
X-SHARKIE 09-27-2003, 07:26 AM The Red Wings
OurGocIsAnAwesomeGoc 09-27-2003, 08:35 AM didn't we JUST have this thread?
canucksfan 09-27-2003, 08:46 AM I think Montreal or Pittsburgh
DJ Spinoza 09-27-2003, 12:46 PM Pens have a good chance, they will likely have a poor season and end up with a high pick.
Considering the season hasn't even began, it's a little early for speculation IMO.

Can ya dig it? :yo:

Jovavic 09-27-2003, 05:03 PM who are you going to trade to florida to get the number one pick? :joker:
They'll probably finish in the fifth spot and win the lottery. Dudley made a deal with the devil I tell ya.
Pens
Nash
Mont
Chic
Pho
San Jo
Car

Can you say holy..................#$&%. That would be one of the best lines if not the best line in recent memory depending if they all live up to the full potential... There is no doubt Columbus would have a dynasty.
Wingboy2999 10-01-2003, 09:20 PM The Red Wings
Yeah, that will happen.....oy....
Blane Youngblood 10-01-2003, 10:44 PM The Leafs?
cducap 10-02-2003, 06:19 AM Chicago has to be close to the bottom of the pack. Looks like they're keeping 5-6 rookies according to Smith...shaky D...shaky in goal.
MOOSE55 10-02-2003, 06:52 AM I think whoever gets the pick is keeping it.....I'll go with the pens
BlackJack21 10-02-2003, 07:05 AM I hope not, but Montreal have a good chace if Theo is notthe best (and I relly mean he have to be) goalie in the league this year.
I would prefer makink the playoffs but...
My first pick would be Pittsburg.

Bookman 10-02-2003, 09:22 AM I think the wheels could possibly come off the Wild wagon this season, especially if their holdouts are longterm. Lots of 1-0 or 2-1 losses are a realistic possibility. I don't think they'll slip to the bottom, but the lottery is a possibility.
kingbrath 10-02-2003, 09:33 AM Pittsburg
Carolina
Pheonix
Calgary
Chicago
NHLcrazy 10-02-2003, 09:42 AM I'm not saying the Habs are good but they will draft between #6 and #13 like they usually do for the past years. We are not good enough to make the playoffs but not bad enought to land a top 5 pick.....Kinda like the NYR and Chicago in the past few drafts.
Oh by the way that's my 666th post.....it's evil. :p
LegomyLeggio 10-02-2003, 10:14 AM Pittsburgh with a bullet.
Transplanted Caper 10-03-2003, 03:30 PM The Pens will finish last in the league but that wont secure them the top pick. Ill pick someone different just for the hell of it and say that Carolina will get the top pick...random guess but its the lottery so who knows
