I noticed the three forwards they recently signed are not in the line-up, if I recall correctly they were Ruid, Lephart and Jaffary! Could this be a sign they will be Wheeling bound or are they giving some other guys the chance to prove themselves? I would think as new guys they would have to prove themselves as well, I was looking forward to how they would do! Any thoughts?

Where's Sivek?

I think this is almost a preseason game lineup rather than a full preseason squad roster. I count only 19 players listed. I know there are others that have been mentioned - Ruid, Jaffary, Lephart, Sivek and Endicott. I also think Erik Christensen was sent to WB along with Cam Paddock. There are also going to be many others from Pittsburgh too, such as David Koci, Andy Chiodo, Reid Simpson, Colby Armstrong perhaps also.

However, if that is a game lineup, I too am wondering why Sivek is not listed. I havent even heard of Ben Blais, Philippe Audet or Marquis Mathieu.

Just odd that you wouldn't play guys tonight you just recently signed such as Ruid, Lephart and Jaffary considering you still have more forwards that will soon be arriving, it would make sense to give these guys some ice time before the other top end AHL/NHL bound players arrive. Ben Blais I know is Wheeling bound, I actually played against him in college, good skater but thats about it. Just a very interesting line-up for opening night, despite it only being preseason. Also, WBS is playing with one less guy than Syracuse, why not throw another forward in there? Makes no sense, maybe guys are injured?
