Why does The Hockey News use David J. Neal instead of Michael Russo? The guy gives absolutely no insight every single year. A casual fan who goes to two games a year could tell you exactly the same thing as Neal.

we in Los Angeles feel the same about Matt McHale, although we have no one else to suggest for his replacement.
Also, a Panther related question:
In the Hockey News season outlook issue, Jaroslav Bednar was not listed among the 18 forwards on the depth chart. I know he's in camp, as I saw he recorded an assist the other night. Has he fallen that far off the radar, or was it a clerical omission?
Thanks in advance for your reply.

More likely a clerical omission. He's been rather strong this preseason, although there is speculation the Panthers will leave him exposed in the upcoming waiver draft.

he IS exposed, and more than likely will be taken. i saw him in a few games here in l.a. and wasnt that impressed, and he didnt do much in the game against anaheim last week. i'd venture to guess dudley hasnt exactly forgiven him for filing for arbitration.
