He hasn't committed anywhere yet. He is trying to get his high school completed this summer so he may be in college next year.

have you seen him play?? the scouting reports sound really positive but he isn't projected as a 1st rounder, so i'm wondering if there is a catch...or is it simply because he wasn't playing at a higher level.

if he played in the OHL instead of the USHL would that make him a 1st rounder like valabik last year??

Simply, a few things. A. The USHL. It's going to be very difficult for a kid straite out of the USHL to get 1st round grades. Kyle Okposo could changet that next year though.

Also he's very raw, he's got a nasty mean streak but it doesn't show up as often as Valabik, plus he's still very raw in defensive coverage.

He skates better then Valabik though and has a bit of an offensive touch.
