Mizral 09-28-2003, 01:21 PM Canucks versus Sharks
5:00 PST
CKNW Radio (no TV)
No idea on the rosters tonight, but it'd be nice to see Naslund score a goal eventually.
Waveburner 09-28-2003, 01:23 PM I'd rather see a prospect do something, ANYTHING! They have looked like garbage most of the preseason. Injury fill-in at best.
Even if it is Fedor...
:joker:
Jewelly 09-28-2003, 01:37 PM Ummm who's in net btw?
I'll go with a 3-2 win for the 'Nucks.
Connecticut 09-28-2003, 01:41 PM Ummm who's in net btw?
I'll go with a 3-2 win for the 'Nucks.
I'm going to guess Clouts since Hedberg played last night and Auld and Moss just got demoted.
Edonator 09-28-2003, 02:14 PM Hope Fedor gets a hattrick. Come on...Only 2 goalies on our roster for the next 4 games? I smell a trade....?Press Conference.....Billionaire...
IceMelter 09-28-2003, 02:16 PM 4-2 Canucks is my guess for today
Edler Statesman* 09-28-2003, 02:26 PM Is this game tonight?
IceMelter 09-28-2003, 02:29 PM Is this game tonight?
Yep
Lowetide 09-28-2003, 03:07 PM I like the new uniform logo on the shoulder. The original logo, very cool. Reminds me of Orland Kurtenbach and Dennis Kearns and Bobby Schmautz. Good luck tonight against that teal bunch.
Jewelly 09-28-2003, 03:54 PM Why did they just wish Henrik a happy birthday and not Daniel? I mean they are twins after all. :p
Interesting interview with Henrik. He says he needs to be "more selfish this year... getting more pucks to the net."
Somehow I have a hard time thinking about Henrik being "selfish" but I'm looking forward to seeing the new and improved Hank.
Henrik's English has improved dramatically since last season.
LaVal 09-28-2003, 04:11 PM Henrik's English has improved dramatically since last season.
he still starts every sentance with "for sure" however ;)

I'm still getting used to it.
By the way Lowetide, my favorite jersey in the league right now is the Oilers' thirds. I wish the Canucks had one as nice, I can't stand our 3rds.
LaVal 09-28-2003, 05:04 PM congrats to Kesler. he deserves it.
nucks2001 09-28-2003, 05:04 PM Yay Kesler!!.. Ready and Fedorov with the assists
Bobby Lou 09-28-2003, 05:13 PM Parker...what a joke
I Hate You All* 09-28-2003, 05:16 PM sports.yahoo says 3-1 Sharks?
LaVal 09-28-2003, 05:22 PM sports.yahoo says 3-1 Sharks?
well it's 4-1 Sharks
Bobby Lou 09-28-2003, 05:23 PM well it's 4-1 Sharks
Shorty made it sound like Cloutier looked pretty slow on that 4th goal.
Hedberg 1, Cloutier 0
gruntsplatter 09-28-2003, 06:25 PM What did Crawford get the unsportsmanlike for, anyone know?
Grizzly Adams 09-28-2003, 06:59 PM and how bad was Cooke's hit on Stuart?
thanks nucks fans.
Baron Von Shark 09-28-2003, 08:08 PM Was anyone at the game? Can you guys tell us if the injury on Stuart looked bad? The Yahoo report says its another head injury, with Brad's head hitting the glass...Stuey's been hit in the head one too many times in his short hockey career already.
Waveburner 09-28-2003, 08:13 PM Apparently none of the HF guys are suckers who pay for preseason games :p Just kiddin...
I hope Stuart is OK, I like him alot. I was hoping so much that the Sharks would let Stuart slide to us, but it didn't work out.
Yammer 09-28-2003, 08:16 PM I saw the majority of this game -- had to leave half way through the third to catch a movie.
I was impressed with Fedorov. The kid has moves. I also thought that Malik had a strong game. Lots of imagination and determination when evading forecheckers, his lanky body twirls like a contortionist. Trevor Linden had flashes of creative skill. Kesler was very prominent, getting a lot of ice time in different situations. He's plenty big enough and has wheels, as advertised.
I thought that Ryan Ready looked like he's got poor hockey sense, but great effort. And Matt Cooke was getting PP time and is a quick player, but lacking strength.
The rest of the team seemed pretty useless. Reid gives you some feints in non-dangerous areas, King had the puck a lot but was easily ridden off of it. They were the best of the worst.
Cloutier was weak.
orcatown 09-28-2003, 08:50 PM Finally a game report! Thanks Yammer from us peons who can't afford tickets.
Grizzly Adams 09-28-2003, 08:57 PM This is all I know about Cooke's hit on Stuart so far.

Any more info would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks.
SedinFan* 09-29-2003, 12:47 AM I saw it on The Score, it wasn't a clean hit, but Stuart had a little to do with it. He basically sacrificed his body to make a play, and Cooke ran him over upper shoulder first into the boards. Looked bad.
Yammer 09-29-2003, 06:25 AM Finally a game report! Thanks Yammer from us peons who can't afford tickets.
You're welcome, but "afford" had nothing to do with it. We got four comp tix for running the Canuck 10K in the morning.
monster_bertuzzi 09-29-2003, 09:07 AM Cooke's a machine when it comes to hitting on the forecheck.
mage23 09-29-2003, 02:19 PM I saw it on The Score, it wasn't a clean hit, but Stuart had a little to do with it. He basically sacrificed his body to make a play, and Cooke ran him over upper shoulder first into the boards. Looked bad.
Word from the Sharks today on Stuart is a Seperated Shoulder -- out 2+ weeks.
