Fourth Group of Cuts (6)Sam 09-28-2003, 06:11 PM Tripp, Clarke, Kelly, Rullier, Schmidt, and Seeley were assigned to Manchester. http://www.lakings.com/news/news_detail.asp?id=1015 IGM 09-28-2003, 06:14 PM I really thought that Tripp would stay up and that Simm would go down. Other than that you can bet that Rullier will get a call up by the end of the season. KingPurpleDinosaur 09-28-2003, 06:15 PM who's left? jfont 09-28-2003, 06:20 PM Tripp getting sent down really surprised me. I guess the last couple of games and the last week, he's been surpassed by the other players. Too bad. At 25 years old, I was hoping he could win a spot with the big club. He's a hard worker that drove towards the net...maybe he'll come up later on in the season and get a chance. I'll be pulling for this guy... Sam 09-28-2003, 06:42 PM who's left?Goalies (3) Cechmanek Hnilicka Huet Defensemen (13) Corvo Gleason Grebeshkov Holland Kuznetsov Miller Modry Muir Norstrom Norton Strbak Visnovsky Zizka Forwards (21) Allison Armstrong Aulin??? – don’t believe Aulin was officially cut Avery Bartecko Belanger Brennan Brown Cammalleri Chartrand Deadmarsh Flinn Frolov Klatt Laperriere Palffy Pirnes Robitaille Sim Smithson Stumpel I know the Kings' site says they have 12 defensemen left, but I don't remember any of the above d-men being cut. Maybe they count Norton as a forward and do not count Aulin :dunno:. David A. Rainer 09-28-2003, 06:54 PM Check to see if I'm missing anyone. Belanger25 09-28-2003, 07:20 PM Most likely. Aulin and Cammalleri will start the season on IR. Same with some people as well. So that will open up some spots. Personally I think last nights lineup was as close as you are going to get to opening night with a couple of changes. JF, here's my best guess... based pn the players that are "eligible" for the waiver draft: Steve Kelly Chris Schmidt Brad Chartrand Jon Sim Jerred Smithson Maxim Kuznetsov Brad Norton Bryan Muir Richard Seeley Jason Holland Pavel Rosa John Tripp I think Kuznetzov not getting into camp hurts him here... Norton is versatile and tough and therefore it's questionable if he'll be left out there, but Brennan and Flinn aren't eligible for the draft and therefore I think it makes sense to dangle Norton. Although Lubos Bartecko is a possible keeper as well. I don't think Huet is eligible for the waiver draft (could be wrong about that) so the Kings will protect Roman (obviously) and Hnilicka and pretty much keep their goaltending in tact. Frolov is ineligible for this draft by ONE GAME I believe. :yo: I might have some ineligible guys on this list... I didn't go into heavy research on it, so I apologize, but you didn't expect to see Jason Allison or Deader on this list anyway, so if I'm off, I'm not off by too much. | ||
