Ranger fan here, try not to beat me up too much about that......But long time highschool friend Rory is fighting for a spot on your roster, just wanted to know what the fans think about his talents. Of course would love nothing more to see him make this team, with the new Rochester owner and Great Rochester product like Rory would be a great asset to grab even more rochesterians down I-90 west to support this organzation....................I will leave it at that and check the responses

He seems pretty steady to me. He was a great call-up when he was needed last season. He'll probably see some playing time this year, especially if someone on the blueline is injured. Not a bad #6/7 defenseman IMO.

I honestly thought his play last year warrented hima spot on this roster, i cant remember how many 2 on 1's i saw him break up or play correctly the way an NHL defenseman should, I hope he makes the team come oct 9

I happen to be on the Rory bandwagon. I love Fitzpatrick. He's very sound in his own end and he's not afraid to battle in the corners. He's a smart defenseman who as was said can break up 2 on 1s regularly. I really really hope he makes the club as the #6 or #7 defenseman.

he is a good player on this team but as long as patarick is on the team we wont see much of him unless someone gets injured,patarick has been in the league for a long time and someone we need for the D.so what space do we have?we dont!
Who the hell is Patarick anyway and are you sure that you are Sabres Fan ..................you should brush up on your spelling and stop eating those wings...
I think you meant James Patrick, and if you are chosing age over young talent you are mistaken..........

I think the chances are very good that the Sabres keep 8 dmen to start the season. Especially with 7 of the top 8 having 1 way contracts and Tallinder is unlikely to get sent to Rochester.
Unless they don't mind paying Rory over $300,000 to play in Rochester.......

Sabres just sent two more packing for the thru- way east to Rochester for some AHL action
Fitzy should get the eigth spot our that roster
