Really good SI Canucks articlegaliano 09-29-2003, 08:10 AM Check this out : http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2003/hockey/nhl/specials/preview/2003/09/28/preview_canucks/ Lard_Lad 09-29-2003, 08:52 AM Yeah, that is pretty good. Probably the best Canucks' preview I've read this year. Up-to-date, too, he even has Mojzis as the top prospect. IceMelter 09-29-2003, 09:00 AM Yep good article, but when did we get Brendan Bell and David Turon? I'll definately take them though :) MVP 09-29-2003, 10:01 AM Yep good article, but when did we get Brendan Bell and David Turon? I'll definately take them though :) Apprently, the Canucks signed them from Ottawa (OHL) and Portland (WHL), have not heard much news about it though. Maybe the Canucks did not think that they are much of a news. The article is very good, i think the writier mis-understand they labour contact with his suggestion that Bertuzzi could become a UFA. i mean the Canucks will qualify Bertuzzi contract before the current labour agreement expire, so in a way Canucks would sign Bertuzzi to a tentative contact before the holdout, therefore ensure the right of Bertuzzi regardless of the change after the lockout. Waveburner 09-29-2003, 04:46 PM Umm Brendan Bell and David Turon are not Canuck property... I don't see them in the article either... It's an OK article, but there are some odd things in it... One that stood out was "Cooke tallied a career-high 15 goals last year, but if he's asked to play left wing on the third line (assuming Artem Chubarov stays in the middle) he may not see the same scoring opportunities." Huh?? He played on the 3rd line the entire season, how could he have less opportunities playing the same ice time? They were listed under the arrivals section in that article, they seemed to have cleared it up now. | ||
