I think the guy is hoping you bite the bullet and panic and deal Heatley. I wouldn't deal him just yet, and I don't see anything worth picking up other than Sullivan. Ruutu is a risk, but could pan out. Heatley broke his jaw, and has some bumps, probably will miss a month, maybe 5-6 weeks. But he's likely to still put up great numbers, unless he allows guilt to destroy him. Plus in an fhl you'll get a good year out of him anyway. I'd say keep him and then hope.

edit: Heatley acutally may not even miss that much time. I'm not sure though. We'll see.

the answer is no. Heatly missing 20 games can still put up 60+ pts and lead the Thrashers.

Do not panic. Heatley will be back in 6-8 weeks I believe, and his production will outweigh that of the package the other guy would be sending your way. It's better to have one 70 point player than three guys who could get 70 combined.

It's not a bad offer, but if you really want do deal him, you can get more. As the others said, the best thing you can do is keep him...

I`ve made a couple proposals to get Heatley in my league, I guess that`s the thing to do. :)

I`d hang onto him, his injuries aren`t a huge problem. It`s his legal issues that are the real concern. I think Heatley has too much talent to give him up for that package.

I'd keep Heatley.

From Yahoo:

Already facing felony charges for a high-speed crash that left a teammate in a coma, Atlanta Thrashers All-Star Dany Heatley learned Friday that he will require knee surgery.

An MRI confirmed the seriousness of the injury. Heatley will need surgery to repair the anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in his right knee.

The Thrashers wouldn't say that Heatley is out for the season, but it's clear he faces a lengthy rehabilitation.

In my opinion, keep him sitting on your bench if you're in a keeper league. But, to me, it sounds like he might be out for quite a while.

I especially wouldn't count on Heatley now. It was just reported that Dan Snyder died. Thus, my guess is the four charges against Heatley get upgraded. The young player with the promising career, could end up in jail for quite a long time.

i disagree and would trade heatley in a second !! First of all, he need knee surgery and could possibly be out for the year and second of all think about it he just killed one of his best buddies. Mentally he won't be the same as before, with that on his mind for the rest of his life. Since Snyder died they said they will increase the charges against Heatley meaning probably a jail sentence....why wouldn't you trade him now if you could get great young talent for nothing !!

sullivan 65 pts
ruutu could be 1-1 for heatley in 3 years (superstar potential)
vorobiev another top prospect for chicago (third line this year)
