Dupuis to moncton

Rouyn-Noranda traded Phillipe Dupuis to Moncton for a conditional 2nd rounder if he reports. a significant trade, considering he had very similar numbers to bourret (minus the PIMS) last season. the local moncton media is fairly close with columbus GM doug maclean and has mentioned that maclean wants 2 of his Q prospects playing for the mem cup this year. pineault and dupuis would fit the bill. with what seems like the ship falling apart before it sets sail in moncton, with bourque, yandle, bernier, saunders likely not coming, this fills a huge hole for the cats. again, IF he reports, although i remain "cautiously optimistic ;) "

pretty good trade considering he had more points than bernier last season...however i think bernier is still better...overall good move for moncton considering the the circumstances

He is signed by Columbus and I think he'll play in the Ahl or at least the ECHL this year

thats too bad..he would have filled at least part of the void left by Bernier

He couldn't have filled the void... but it would have been great to see him in the lineup.

Seems to me Rouyn is gonna crash and burn.

it's a good guess. I saw them play last night and i have a feeling they'll have to work damn hard to score goals. Their goalie will be solid, but he was left on his own way too often last night.
They had a big part (if not all) of their regular lineup.

It's going to be a long year indeed.

hey.. dupuis plasyed his first game in Moncton last night and was awsome. It wasn't a very good game because PEI played awful. The final was 13-4, but Dupuis showed great hands, really stood out and was voted 1st star.
