Aside from Jagr, most of the star players sat out and the game was lacking in intensity, aside from some spirited tilts, it was a rip off. According to Hitchcock, all hands will be on deck for every pre-season game this year. I'm not sure the Forsbergs and Gagnes will play a lot of minutes, but considering the number of new faces on the Flyers, they've got to give these guys playing time to work out line combinations. I went to that game too and there were too many big names that did not dress. One thing that was funny in that game: Alex Henry tried to fight with Brashear (with predictable results). Henry went down after a couple of punches and Brashear pulled him back up and hit him a couple more times. Perhaps the NHL has mandated a better showing in these matches, but I have my doubts you will see a real game out there.
