Can't believe it how a guy like Chris was available on the open market yet week defensive squads (Washington, Toronto, Montreal, Chicago, Pittsburgh) didn't bite at this oppurtunity. Granted Pittsburgh can't even offer Fleury a decent contract or Washington try to squeeze a penny out of the Jagr contract, for 2.7$ million and a frame of 6'5" 250 lbs he should have grabbed the most attention in the list.
Clarke has stated that he'd hate to be in a situation where Therien became our 8th defenceman. I don't see him playing in the Phantoms, I doubt they'll keep a vet on the bench, so I think the last option is keeping him on Waivers. Pretty sad for a guy like High-Morale Chris Therien to land this bad fate, but he'll be picked up eventually I'm sure and probably from the Habs.
Anyone have any clue who # 7 on D will be....Seidenberg or Woywitka?

Hitch has said it wont be a young guy, it looks like Slaney seeing as he was protected.

The big goof, tonight against the Phantoms, had 2 mistakes that cost goals. If you are going to complain about being put on the waiver list, play like you deserve to be on the team.
