Considering O'C's desire to sign BERGERON...

New thoughts on potential lines...

ROLSTON-THORNTON-KNUBLE
SAMSONOV-BERGERON-MURRAY
AXELSSON-GREEN-LAPOINTE
ZAMUNER-STOCK-MCCARTHY/GROSEK

Just dreaming but what if O'C snagged Oleg TVERDOVSKY for something in the neighbourhood of 2.5 per, vise re-signing BERARD.

TVERDOVSKY-GILL
MCGILLIS-BOYNTON
O'DONNELL-JILLSON
MORAN

I think we would have a pretty solid team both up front and on D, particularly if JILLSON begins to blossom.

The goaltending situation is still troubling. Hopefully Felix POTVIN will play the way he has the past few games for the majority of the season and we should be fine. If not, we still have to address that issue.

I don't like the idea of having Rolston on the first line, whether he's playing wing or not. The second line, if it has both Samsonov and Bergeron on it needs someone with some grit on the right wing. Murray isn't exactly gritty.

Tverdovsky is indeed a dream since he's already playing with a team in Russia this season.

I'm not sure but I think he has an escape clause that would allow him to leave should an NHL team offer him a desirable contract.

Good point regarding the second line...maybe...

I want the super line again as I posted in game thread and like this Taz even better than my second and third line- what the heck was I thinking putting Green at wing and Rolston at third line center. This is exactly what I want- that second line has a banger a shooter and a playmaker

Love the lines. If Bergeron is a keeper for the season. If not, we'd better pick up a #2C someplace.

Tverdovsky..... Why would anyone leave the NHL to play in Russia?
