IIRC Doc Holiday passed Dar during one of the last games, winning the title. Position Player Team Total Center Pavel Datsyuk Detroit 4,850,000 Winger Jarome Iginla Calgary 7,290,000 Winger Mike Knuble Boston 4,750,000 Defence Mattias Ohlund Vancouver 3,050,000 Defence Jordan Leopold Calgary 1,220,000 Goalie Felix Potvin Boston 4,070,000 Extra Attacker Henrik Zetterberg Detroit 4,260,000 I didn?t pick any Leafs unfortunately, but it was a very tough choice between Iginla, Tkachuk and Sundin, but in the end Iginla won out over Tkachuk. Tkachuk is a few hundred thousand cheaper then Sundin, which knocked Sundin out and while Tkachuk was more productive then Iginla last year I?m better Iginla does very well this year? top 3 in scoring is not at all out of the question. I went with Datsyuk at Center, as with Fedorov gone he should see a bigger role in Detroit which should help boost his production over last years already respectable totals. A few interesting goalies available for cheap those being Aebischer, Dafoe and Potvin most notably. I would have gone with Dafoe, but I?m betting on Pasi Numminen to take the starters job in Atlanta?. If Dafoe gets the job I?ll have to waste a trade picking him up though. Potvin?s risky; he?s either very good or very bad with little in between. If I had to put money on it I?d say very bad is more likely but Boston may surprise now that their healthy and he?s 1.8M cheaper then Aebischer so I took him. I felt I could safely save a little money on D by picking up Leopold without losing out on too many points. He should do reasonably well, he?ll be on Calgary?s 1st pairing and the if I?m lucky may break out this year? at the least he?s a talented youngster who should improve a bit over last year. The money saved on him and picking a bargain starter in Potvin enabled me to grab Iginla as my single superstar. I?ve still got 510,000 left over so I can always use one of my trades to bump up any position should anyone disappoint.
