Final Roster

The Bruins are now down to twenty seven players and must cut to twenty three by Tuesday.

Zamuner and LaPointe (injured) are among the twenty seven leaving two cuts to be made.

Who do you think will go to Providence, barring any last minute additions (Berard?)to the roster?

ratty my man, you just read my mind. i was just checking out our roster, and here's what we have w/regards to the 27 in question (i'm only counting 25, and that's with the bruins apparently still listing zinovjev with the big club):

F- thornton, murray, knuble, samsonov, rolston, green, axelsson, bergeron, mccarthy, grosek, stock, huml, samuelsson, zinovjev, donato, lapointe (inj), zamuner (inj)

D- boynton, mcgillis, gill, odonnell, jillson, moran, jurcina

G- potvin, raycroft

am i missing anyone?? with the trade of shields and the injuries to both zams and lapointe, we're actually right at the limit of 23 (unless i'm missing something here). i'd like to see berard join the fold, and have jurcina sent to providence for the full season. when lapointe comes back, send samuelsson down, and when zams comes back, donato gets the gate IMO. of course, this is under the assumption that bergeron gets signed by tomorrow. and, if zina stays in the states, we'll have to make a spot for him on the team as well (that won't need to be sorted out for another month probably).

I think that Lapointe and Zams have to count as on the squad unless they are put on IR.....

you're right- but with zams tearing a hamstring, he goes on IR for sure. lapointe is a bit more questionable, as it sounds like he may be able to play early on the road trip. i think the rule says a player must miss a minimum of 3 NHL games if he's put on IR.
